I've never understood how slagging off a particular country can possibly be racist. Many of my descendents come from Ireland & Scotland & even France so surely altough I'm English, I am of the same race as those people? Also, going back further, many of those people will have scandinavian/european roots. If I decide to make a comment about one of those countries I'm commenting on the traits of those countries not on a race of people, who are the same race as me.

People are trying too hard to take any kind of banter out of life in general. If anyone wants to slag the English, fucking go for it & I'm happy to take it & give it back, or in many cases, agree.

If it's slagging off a country it's a national issue, if it's slagging off a race, it's racist. If a white Frenchman makes a snide comment about the racial characteristics of a black Frenchman, or vice versa, he is being racist. If they both take the piss out of the English, they are taking the piss out of many different races who share a nationality & perhaps have national habits/traits in common.

Good question (re snake's arse). My mate had some kind of huge potentially fucking lethal snake but it was quite harmless so long as you fed it. Once, at a party, we talked the most beautiful girl in the room round to no longer being afraid of it & she eventually let it coil up in her lap. No threat whatsoever. Unfortunately, snakes don't shit that often & when they do, you know about it.

Somewhere out there is a very beautiful girl who now hates snakes for a completely different reason than she once did.
