Kompany has been terrible since his cock up in the CS...Lescott does not impress either , Hart today had a decent game till he let in that stupid goal.

I think Toure should come back in and replace Kompany for a while.....seriously. Apart from that I just dont know but something has to change.

Looked like a possible lack of communication for me with the first - surely they should know who is responsible for Zamora there, and I am inclined to think it should have been Kompany, but he just looked on as Richards was busting a gut to get in and cover.

This is what I think it is. De Jong sits in the hole between the defence and midfield and clears up so much in that area. Whilst he's been out injured, opposition teams have found a lot more space in that area.

Zamora puts it into the corner after being allowed all the space to turn, and then kompany wrong foots his own keeper with a deflection. Nothing Hart could have done about either imho.

In fact, Hart makes a couple of great saves which preserve the point.

Agreed about the defensive frailties in front of him tho...it was very poor today. So much space...it was laughable.

Agree and I think Lescott has actually played very well the last few games. There have been many times though where it is 3v3 or 3v4 against our defense because they get possession behind our midfield. Hard to defend in that situation, and its all because we're pushing up so many people in midfield to score, as said above

Brilliant no....very good yes...at the moment we are kak. De jong isnt back 4...he cannot make them not fuck up ! Its all down to individual errors......a change is needed.

Yeah but I think we've lost a bit of focus even when we have the numbers. We're so attack oriented that we've lost a little bit of our discipline as well as the numbers. May need to spend a bit of time doing the old drills.

You can blame him...He is supposed to save shots and it was because of his shit handling that we DIDNT win the game.

but he made 2 great saves in the 2nd half that no other keeper (besides maybe Given) in the league could make. it was a deflection, not a fumble. You also have to ask why there was so much free time for the shot

It's different people making the errors almost every game though. We've made a big leap forward on the attacking side but the only way to learn how to defend with a side half full of attackers is to get on with it & learn how to solve the problems as they arise. Hughes was trying to do that admittedly with an inferior team but it's not neccessarily easy to do it quickly, even with better players. If you play attacking football it will happen. The rags & Barca concede a lot of chances even now, they just tend to find a way through it. I just hope Bob is allowed to get on with it rather than pressed into becoming dull again, especially if we get turned over once or twice.
