Nasri

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Nasri

Poor games back to back - looks lightwieight at times and disappears. What´s the feeling on here (objectively of course coz this is not a criticism) and would you play him against what will be a very physical Evilton?

He looks like a classic hot and cold player to me. Time will tell.

Certainly needs to do a lot of work on the defensive aspect of his game.

He'll be fine, give him time to settle in. He's played all the teams in the division before and coped.

Two "meh" games doesn't make you a bad player, also bare in mind he has 4 assists in 3 games.

Blimey it was a draw today and you'd think we'd just be tonked judging by the reaction of some on here.

That said it's always been this way hasn't it!

Quality player who has been covered by 2 to 3 players everytime he gets the ball. When this happens, we need to learn to utilise the space and use the ball more wisely.

No complaints from me so far.

that's how i feel...in fact, i'd dare to say at times i've seen him and thought "he's a lot stronger than i thought both on the ball and off it."

Imo Nasri is a good but not a great player but a great signing for our squad who will be the matchwinner on some occasions & need subbing on others. I don't think he's fully upto match sharpness yet though, a bit like Tevez.

I'm prepared to give him time, even though I was sceptical about the merit of his signing.
I reckon after 10 starts we'll have a fair idea what we've bought.

He's barely been here a month. Questioning him is ridiculous. Seen enough to suggest he'll be a great signing for us.

this will sound silly, but i dunno if Samir's a lefty or a right, but if he's a lefty he cannot even wax his pole, and if he's a righty, he cannot let "the stranger" perform his magic on him.

Clearly the hand injury would impact him either way.

Good call...

cheers

I would say that he is a very good player but has the potential to be a great one and playing in a team like City of today will help him achieve that potential. Obviously too early to judge him as he needs to settle in (no withstanding his performance against Spuds). Silva had a slow start for us and look where he is today ! Nasri has the advantage of EPL experience so he will shine sooner.

He will be fine once he settles in with the rest of the squad, he's only been here a month and some of his play so far has been class give it a few months and he will be flying.

I do think the hand injury has sapped a bit of his confidence in 1-v-1 situations.

So does he start against blue scouse or does it depend on a visit to Mrs Palm and her five lovely daughters eve of match ? ;)

Has fit in perfectly with our attacking play but could have done better for the Napoli goal and didn't bother tracking Riise when he got through 1 on 1 yesterday.

If it's not the hand making him timid, I'm sure Bobby will toughen him up before long. Nothing to be too concerned about.
Tracking back is overrated.

Roberto should take more of a hands on approach to his team selection to determine how fit the lads are.
