Yeah I also like the look of Dubciteh's team except Nasri as he deffo needs a rest, he looked fucled the last 10mins he was on at Fulham. I'd give Nimely a run out instead of maybe just for a half put Komps in Midfield to remind him of the old days and as club captain nurture any picked kids through.

You rotter. My little heart skipped a beat then as I thought I'd been mistaken & the match was tomorrow, so I could go. It's not, it's definitely fucking Wednesday & I can't.

I'm actually looking forward to seeing what he's got. Surely there is no player in the league who has more to prove than him. I hope he surprises us all and puts in a sensational performance.

Yep

Personally I'd rather stay away from 'trying out the kids'. last year we got fucked by doing that. Lets just play the first team squad, the ones who didn't start at the weekend.

Stick a couple on the bench by all means but with the squad we have there really should be no need for any of them to start. Many of the first team squad are in desperate need of playing time. This is the ideal opportunity to put that right

Fair point.

On that basis, wonder if Bob will pair Kolo and Savic at the back and, as has been suggested, push Kompany into midfield (or even play three centre backs ??)

I'm really interested to see what team Bob will put out.

Hargreaves should start, as mentioned up there ^^^ somewhere, if he comes on at half time and goes down after 20 minutes then we’re that little bit more fucked.

I don’t think he will go down though, he seems extremely confident in his own fitness and I’ve heard a lot of people saying that he looks good in training etc. I think we should be doing everything we can to get him fully fit and PL match ready. IF it ends up that we lose another midfielder, then he might be a much needed part of the team, and lets face it – we’ve not invited him on board because we don’t think he cant get back to his best. I think he has the potential to be a great addition to our team, and who knows maybe a key player in our season. I just think that there’s no point wrapping him in cotton wool for too long. If he’s going to spew it, let him do it in the first 20 of a Carling cup tie than in a big PL game.

Good point. Hope he's fit for at least 45 minutes and does well.
Very excited to see what's our line-up, especially after Roman's tweet.

Should be very intersting to see how Hargreaves gets on.In general it will be great to have a look at some other players.Balotelli will surely get a start i would think along with the Johnson, Kolo and Savic. As others have already said i would also love the chance to see some of the younger players in action.

I reckon Tevez is a certain starter too. Perfect match to give him [strike]120[/strike] 90 minutes

Yeah i would expect so he needs game time.

120 minutes don't tempt fate.

I've had a horrible feeling all day. we go with a "weakened" side who isn't mentally up for, 1-1 written all over it.

I just hope that if Clichy is playing there is no commentary involving Trevor Francis: if he calls him cliche one more time I will scream
