Exorcising Demons?

Postby Beeks » Thu Sep 22, 2011 9:27 am

Blue Dippers

Can we beat them?

Or more to the point

Will we beat them?

Sick of this Everton jinx..we need to release the fucking hounds on them this weekend and hope Cahill doesn't play!

The good news is that they player extra time last night with several of their first teamers slogging through it - Baines, Jagielka, Ratface 2, Rodwell, Fellaini - whereas we will change all XI for satuday.

Fatigue as an excuse is thus not useable by Mancini if we dont win. I hope we absolutely hammer them out of sight, as we owe them several.

Somebody mark Cahill, just for once don't let him score a free header.

Cahill hasn't scored in 2011 and they've been playing a 4-6-0 formation lately. Moneys on it'll happen on Saturday.

Love the guy for country, can't stand him for club.

If we don't beat them this year, we'll never do it!

We usually play them in December/January when there form starts to pick up so hopefully we can take advantage of their usual slow start to the season.

It really has become a major challenge to get a result against this lot. I'd be pretty sure that Bob wants to blow them apart more than anyone else.

Two factors for a bit of confidence in this meeting are they played ET and the game is early on Sat.. could be significant as they usually rely on workrate v City, so lets see how they are fixed this time.
Second is that the City players that will play are coming off the back of seriously fucking up a simple win by lack of effort, so expect some decent effort for 90+ mins by all the players this time.

Put those two together and it should spell the end of this hoodoo.

I dont give a shit if Cahill scores, as long as we score more. I think we will do.

2 men on him on every corner/set peice and we'll be right. I always have bad feelings about Everton and they always turn out to be right... but this time im confident of the win.

I love to see us playing the football that we have been of late, but in all honesty, i'd take anything as long as it's three points.

Get this monkey off our back NOW!

Plus, theyre a lot worse than they ever have been, and we're...slightly improved.

I hope Bob prepares them for coming up against 'park the bus' because this will be good practise for it.

Spurs away was a bit of a demon wasn't it and I think that went quite well. It's not just Cahill anyway it's the fact the Everton seem to be hyped up to play against City by their dear lovely manager. They will park the bus and we will beat them.

Yeah that happens a lot with players who haven't scored for a long time and they break their duck against City. Rooney did it last season after a long drought and I think Murphy scored against us on Sunday for the first time in a year or so.
Back on topic and even if Cahill scores, I think this time we will beat them easily. No need to be pessimistic.

Parking the bus is only a less risky gamble than playing football, it can go wrong and then your plan is gone and your team are in the wrong mentality. I think they will park the bus and I think it will backfire for once, and City due to having cocked-up last week and still with Bob's criticism ringing in their ears, will finish the job off for the full 90. 4-0 to the Sky Blues.
