Parking tomorrow

Postby hyper » Fri Sep 23, 2011 8:42 pm

Does anyone else drive to games and can they recommend a place to park for the game tomorrow? Don't want to park too far away from the ground, and don't mind paying.

Managed to get two tickets very short notice so am driving over and may not make it until close to kick off. It's been years since we drove to a game, last time we parked in a school car park / playing field for a fiver I think. Thanks in advance.

There is a place just off Briscoe lane if you know it a big company car park that is used for home games its opposite the cemetary, also there is a car park next to the Townley pub a school i think that allows parking in its grounds i think both places cost a fiver.

St Bridget's, just up from Mary D's. You can get to it from Turing Way or Grey Mare Lane. 2 mins from ground and only 6 notes. Also, we always wait until the end and still get away quite quickly up Alan Turing Way, a lot longer down Grey Mare Lane.

Just short of the red tab.

Mcfc1632- I actually live about 10 mins from blackburn, right near the ground there's a place called starr lodge (its next to a big pub) which does rooms for about £50 per night. It's a bit like a travelodge. The pub is called the fernhurst, away fans are welcome and more often than not it gets taken over by city fans on match days. If not there, then there is a premier inn type place on m65 services that's about 10-15 minutes walk away from ewood park. That helps!

We tend to park in the velodrome. Dead opposite the East side behind ASDA, off Alan Turing Way (find it on Google and Satnav the coordinates if you aren't sure). Get there early and go to the City Square. £5

Cheers everyone. Tickets might not be here (Nottingham) till 10, so I may have to try all options and see where's got a space / is close enough if I'm running late.

Tent by the river, bit of outdoor living will be good for you.

Thanks for the info DB - I ended up in the Travelodge for £25.50 - hope that is also taken over by CITY fans!!
