As for motd, the only foul they bothered to show was Kompany's vicious stamp on the poor cahill, who was clearly attempting to score another goal for the rampant everton at the time.

Exactly what I said at the end of MoTDs' "coverage". It defies belief that their 6-4-0 formation received no stick whatsoever after the tirade that we got on a weekly basis last season. Not one foul on Silva was shown, complete and utter farce.

I did a frame-by frame of the incident on a very good HD TV. I could see no foul either way. It was a messy challenege and Cahill got booked because he went to ground and in full speed, to the ref, it would have looked like he was the aggressor. Kompany appeared to tread on Cahill's leg, but there was absolutely no intent. It was a nothing incident.

As for Moyes, he's up there with Pulis for me. Horrible.

Seen it a few times and I really can't see what Vinnie is supposed to have done.
You know, nearly every team in the Prem can pass the ball and look like a football team these days, even Swansea and Blackpool...... but Everton looked like a throwback to the 80's. Thuggery, nasty tactics, every trick in the book and poetic justice that Cahill hurt himself.
I love the irony of Ginger Pube Hair complaining about a tackle at the end of that display of non football.
Unlucky Moyes you vile bastard.

That the ref was Howard Webb will make this a non-starter, I think.

Just covered the "assault" by Vinny on Goals on Sunday - just brushed it off as nothing. Said quite rightly that Kompany was just trying to get out of the way of Cahill. Also said quite rightly that Kompany isn't "that sort of player".

What a cunt Moyes is. Very close second to Baconface for my most hated manager in the prem.

Kompany was trying to plant his foot to the left of the ball... Cahill flew in 2 footed and ended up underneith kompany's foot, making it look like a stamp.

Referee got it spot on, Cahill made the dangerous tackle and got booked, end of story!!

Vinny saw Cahill was coming in with his usual cowardly, nasty, late challenge, hoping that he could get away with pretending he was going for the ball when Vinny made an honest challenge & perhaps injure him.

Vinny didn't make an 'honest' challenge though, he fucking sorted the cunt out in the same way Summerbee or Best or Keegan would have done in the 'old' days. That bitter, nasty, cheating, twat Moyes knows exactly what Cahill was doing, as he obviously gave his team instructions to 'do' as many City players as possible. He's bleating about it because he wants to create a poisonous atmosphere for the away game, get their ugly, whinging patchetic, cuntish fans screaming at the ref & get away with kicking lumps out of our players & diving for free kicks in our last 3rd.

That's how they beat us last season & nowardays they can't beat us anymore without resorting to it.

Because we have "spent a ton of money" every game is set up as David vs Goliath in the eyes of the media. They're just a bunch of lazy shits that can only create one story line for every game. First line from the Guardian match report:

The haves had the better of the have-nots, which was no surprise, but Manchester City will have to play better than this if they are to overcome Bayern Munich in their Bavarian fastness when the Champions League resumes on Tuesday.

Nothing about Everton playing anti-football because they are the "have-nots", and putting 11 players in their own 18 yard box is a brave effort to fight the evil money men. No matter how the game went, the media will say these things:

1. We spent a lot of money
2. Entire other team is worth one of our subs weekly wages
3. The other team made an honest, hardworking effort to overcome the money machine
4. For all the money we spent we should have played better
5. Add some pointless drivel about how Mario is crazy/Carlos hates manchester/Nigel is a thug...

It's just lazy journalism and unfortunately it's everywhere

The twat should be sued for defamation of character. It might teach the freak to keep his spite and lies to himself. He even said he'd "seen it again" which proves what a liar the man is -f he'd seen it again he would know it was Cahill's attempt to maim Kompany which caused the injury.

That's typical Joe Lovejoy, and I'm baffled that he's writing for The Guardian. To be fair to the much maligned Danial Taylor, he would never write lazy crap like that.

Also, I very much doubt idiots like Lovejoy were prefixing every match report about the Rags with "it was the haves versus the have-nots" when they were splashing out fortunes on Ferdinand, Veron and Rooney etc etc, especially when we crushed them 4-1 several years ago. Imagine the treatment City will get if we lose 4-1 to anyone. Instead, we hear the lies about United's "fantastic" youth policy, despite the fact that the best they could bring through for years were the likes of Wes Brown and other bog standard duffers. To say there is no media bias against City is laughable.
