think we'll do a 'napoli' on them and get at least a point. More worried about Napoli away, as we may need to beat them and they could get us on the break again.

Worse case, bayern win. In which case, we need to beat them at home and hope they win every other game to top the group, but stopping napoli or villareal gaining points.

Quite right Beefy. It's a very tough group and it won't be a disgrace if we go out at this stage although it will be incredibly disappointing. We need at least one away win against Villareal or Napoli which is perfectly possible. I can't quite see us beating Bayern away but a point would be great.

Reading through this thread has made me realise how great it is being a City fan right now , I have supported city for 42years and tuesday night we are facing an experienced champions league side, I used to play rugby and got nervous before every game but never frightened Cmon City this is what we have all wanted since our fortune changed and now we are there enjoy the occasion.

It's not going to be easy, Bayerns last 9 games they have scored 25 goals, conceded 0 and won them all. I think It's going to be a tight game with the 1 goal winning it just hope It's us that get it.

Not quite right, they lost to Borussia Monchengladbach one nil first game of the season (7/8/11). In 9 games they have scored 28 and conceded 1.
This will be our hardest game this season.

This thread has made me think about the chance of success on Tuesday for the 1st time - seriously

I have just been going on with the preperations, flight, hotel etc and my mind has all been on just enjoying the 'event'

So when I now think about it I am pretty worried. Of course I will just enjoy the experience but do I really not expect the mighty BM to play a scorcher? Well - in reality I would be grateful for a draw at the moment.

Of course we have a team that can beat any other team anywhere on their day but the Napoli game showed that we have a bit to learn on the CL front (and they were new to it as well!!).

If we do get beat then the pressure will be on us big time to qualify from the group - and imagine all the media shit if we fail.............

So whilst I was previously just enjoying the event - after reading this thread I am now pretty worried - thanks!!

The only fear for me is if the players don't settle quickly. They have the experience as players of big games to a man so they shouldn't be really so worried. The home game was different as it was the first and it was in front of their own expectant fans. This game will be quite different and tbh the pressure will be on Bayern. The other thing is that Bayern will not be doing a Napoli and will be intent on playing football and bringing the game to City, for that reason alone there will be a totally different flavour to the game and i would think after the first 20-30 mins there will be some space for City to be able to play into.

I'm expecting a tight but more open game than we have been used to seeing this season and i see no reason why that shouldn't suit us.
