I wish it were that simple, or as simple as saying the CL level is the issue, I'm afraid that it isn't. There was little difference from City's performance there and others this season. We have developed a stupid habit of not reading the game, not reacting to changes in pace and not putting the effort in where it is required. True with less good teams we can get away with it, but it is distinctly looking like the balance in the team is out.
Not sure what it is going to take to learn the lesson about this, now conceeded stupid goals against Bolton, Napoli, Fulham, Bayern and thrown the domination of games out of the window due to lack of ability to up the pace.

Some bollocks comments from some people here. We've played Napoli and Bayern Munich ffs! Both very strong teams from the strongest group. Theres still 4 games to play and we can improve.

Further to this, the only team we've beaten this season that could in any way be described as "good" are Spurs. We've beaten an awful bogey team and some relegation fodder, and while it's been enjoyable to see us score a lot of goals while playing some great football, we have lost to Man U and Bayern, struggled to draw against Napoli, and also lost a two goal lead twice, once against an elderly Fulham when Mancini claimed we were tired.

I honestly thought we'd taken excellent strides forward at the start of the season, but we're now treading water and slipping back into old habits. Mancini needs to sort this out.

One word: City

We were schooled last night. Time to realise that we can't just play the same 11 players in the same formation everywhere. We need to pick the team based on the opposition
