Toure Brothers
Barry

Taught a football lesson by an average team.

I have watched Barcelona live and they are on a different planet.

There is something not right and our owner will sort it out regardless of the consequences.

Mancini is on very dodgy ground.

I thought they were average...
We had two clear penalty appeals turned down and there second was offside.

Second half we was a mess, propbably becasue of offield activities. But Bayern wer'nt THAT impressive, were they?

Mega lolz.

Outstanding tonight at times. You have to be blind not to notice that.

Ribery... out of this world.

OP needs to take a chill pill, we had a bad night but it wasn't like we got turned over by someones reserves.

bayern are capable of winning every game in the group. If they do that, we need to beat villareal twice and then do something in Naples. Not impossible and things could look very different in two games time

Bayern only looked good when we started to lose the plot.
They are that kind of team that are always capable of scoring so are definately dangerous, however for most of the first half they couldn't get their game together and Ribery wasn't getting anywhere till Micah AND Toure both decided to go into attack at the same time.
It is so obvious it isn't really worth saying, Bayern only perked up after they grabbed the first goal, prior to that they were looking a little bewildered and struggling. If we had scored instead they may well have collapsed. In the second half it looked like all their players had grown by 2 feet.

I excpected a lot more from Bayern from the outset and i expected City not to shrink in the face of the setbacks.
Shoddy effort from City and there were players not pulling their weight out there tonight and haven't been all season imo.

You can't blame Kolo Toure; perhaps Mancini will admit dropping Lescott for this big name was the big mistake

.

I couldn't agree more; as I've said elsewhere Ya Ya needs to get his shit together; I don't blame Micah Richards at all; it was his job to get up and down the park; Ya Ya should have been supporting him, defensively, as De Jong would do.

What?
Let me guess you were one of the people who like Alan Hansen, Alan Shearer, Lee Dixon and Gary Linecker said prior to the England Germany game at the WC 2010 that England are man for man better than Germany?

I am sorry but a team that has Neuer in goal, Lahm and Rafinha as Full Backs, a midfield of Dias, Schweinsteiger, Kroos, Ribery and a front two of Mueller and Gomez is NOT average.

Bayern are a good side.

And one of our key players is a fit Nigel De Jong, who wasn't ready last night.

No need to panic just yet.

barry and yaya do not work in midfield, one huffs and puffs the other has the turning circle of the titanic. waaaay tooo slooowwww. I honestly think nasri has unsettled our team i dont think hes been played in the right position, bayern especially ribery were class last night. Dzeko was pants and has been since tottingham he showed no fight no chasing down defenders and should be benched saturday. we stood off the bayern players too much when we should have been at them soon as they got the ball, we were taught a harsh lesson last night, lets hope we learn from it.
i felt sorry for mancini last night he supposedly put our best team out and they underacheived big time!!!!!!!

Average team? I remember them being in the finals not too long ago (cough last year cough). Bayern Munich is one of the best teams in Europe and is very underrated by the OP. Their history proves this.

We got outplayed. I'm not a fan of Ribery and always considered he was overrated, but he walked the park with us. Kroos and Schweinsteiger also dominated the midfield and Gomez's record needs no words. Average team... I laughed

We got taught a European lesson. Naming individuals is stupid. It's us as a club that's not good enough-yet. We need to wise up as a team. Keeping possession when the opposition are having a sustained run of pressure would be a start. Reading the play and knowing when to slow things down and speed them up is next. And of course, scoring a late winner is the final piece.

Bayern are a quality side with far more experience than us. To label them average is a joke. They're bloody brilliant.

Ummmm......WHAT?
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?
