Nasri needs to be rested/dropped. He simply hasn't played well enough to warrant another starting place right now.

I'm not sure about Nas. He's done ok but I think he restricts Yaya and Silva. I'd have Yaya every day of the week but he will need a rest here and there. Play De Jong and for a laugh Tevez centre mid. Then see how quickly he wants to come off when he get lumps kicked out if him.

It was a vain attempt to move on, wasn't it.

I'd leave Nasri out on the basis that he's been pap other than his debut. Dzeko can sit out this game as he's been truly shite too lately. NDJ or Silva are the first name on the team sheet, when fit. I'd give Johnson a chance to shine and obviously give Balotelli a go.

I know Savic may seem strange but I don't think Lescott or Kolo are much better and Savic would benefit so much from getting a more regular game.

that's a good call mate. yaya needs a slap again and gael and micah will pin them back. would prob put edin in before mario tho - that'd confuse the buggers.

You ARE joking right ?

Mancini is more than likely to rotate fullbacks again.
Yaya needs a rest and NDJ needs to get back to game speed.
Milner has been fantastic and deserves a start.
Dzeko will apparently be benched and thus Balo should come on for him.

As for Silva and Aguero, those 2 have been playing alot and the former is arguably our most important player
and I think he should get a breather...especially since both will be playing on international duty soon.
It is just Blackburn after all and we can introduce those 2 as subs around the 50th-60th if necessary.

that's my opinion and im entitled to it.

at least he's got some reasoning behind that!

i don't necessarily agree, but that team SHOULD be capable of beating a very poor blackburn...

I'd say it's just as capable of losing to Blackburn. And can you imagine the reaction hereabouts if it did?

I think the main qualm is over Aguero and Silva..whether we should keep riding them. I guess it was kinda seen
when Mancini dropped Dzeko while he was on a hot streak and now Dzeko hasnt produced any goals or
big plays since. So there's always that debate...if its not broke, dont fix it. however, with a grueling schedule this
season with all the competitions (granted, some players wont feature it some), i feel that our "big", key guys
should get a rest every so often and now seems like a good idea with the international break coming up,
a seemingly weak Blackburn team, back to back crucial Villareal games coming up, a stingy Given for Villa
after the break, and the away darby after the 1st Villareal match.....this weekend seems like
the best time ahead of that grueling stretch.

just my reasoning with an eye on the horizon.

Oh I could see your justification mate - just too many changes for my liking. Get the game won, then take players off to give them a rest if need be.

Yeah it is a lot of changes at one time and the fear of messing with team chemistry is always warranted.
and yeah, he could start them and take them off but that also gives the chance for injury. but yes, thats another viable option. i tend to prefer bringing them on if needed rather than taking them off

well, my team for blackburn would be:

Hart
Richards Lescott Kompany Clichy
Barry De Jong Milner
Silva Dzeko Aguero

subs. pantyman, kolo, zabba, kolarov, yaya, nasri, balotelli

Nasri and yaya need reminding they're droppable. the midfield three would enable gael and micah to get forward at will, , and be able to mop up blackburn's inevitable long balls, dzeko deserves another crack up front.

...............anyway in an attempt to put things into perspective as we 'move on'.

Checked into a hotel in Blackburn and been out for a few beers so got talking to some Blackburn fans - FFS do we think that we have problems and depression!!!!!

Took me back to the late 90s - we were just the same - but perhaps more positive about it................

If we get the result that is the average of what I have heard tonight we will win by a minimum 4 goals - they are expecting a backlash

I can't believe they haven't got behind Kean. What an inspiring bloke he is, why hasn't he brought Ronaldino or Beckham in yet?

Anyway, enjoy your night you rich fucker. How many people can afford to stay over in Blackburn.

That line up would be safe for me. Also like to see Dzeko straight back out there.

If it were my choice though I'd put Mario and Dzeko up front, with Silva and Aguero, drop Barry and ask Silva to play in front of Milner and DeJong.
