Not Agreeing with Mancini

Not Agreeing with Mancini

Postby lyons07 » Fri Sep 30, 2011 5:30 am

Feel free to merge this into the chinners bollox when he gets out of his pit.

On the back of the mail and times this morning, it was stating players on the bench never heard tevez refuse to go on the pitch, causing unrest in the camp and making things harder in the investigation.

Read that part ... a little worrying if true, but I don't think it's got much to it.

People saying "I didna see nuffin" probably means they don't want to get drawn into what could be a shitstorm. I think it probably the best for all involved we don't put anyone in the middle of this that isn't already there(ie. Mancini, Tevez, physio with no name).

Dont know what to think about that.

One thing that did hit home was watching Tevez get on the team bus. I'd sort of hoped that Tevez would have been told by teams mates that he wasn't welcome and that he could fuck right off and find his own way home.

I was waiting for this. Don't let the shit stirrers get into your heads. Tevez refused to play, end of. Zaba confirmed it. I have put his quote and the link in another thread.

Agree. These are mindgames from Tevez and his agents, don't let it go in your mind. Think there is no doubt about this matter. Zaba who's his mate from national squad confirmed it. The end.

If true, I think it's pretty craven and cowardly that the players who most directly witnessed Tevez's latest strop are unwilling to corroborate their manager. Tevez has done nothing for them this season, and on Tuesday he actively declined to help his team in one of the club's biggest games for decades.

I know footballers are largely ignorant, self-serving people, but I would hope senior players at City would have some kind of moral backbone. If they are willing to turn away from confronting a bad apple that has been undermining the club - and now the team - for months, then it makes me wonder what other obligations they are just as willing to opt out of. It might help explain the gutless showing in Munich, for a start.

It's possible the players have been instructed not to talk about the incident itself for legal reasons.

Perhaps, but I'd hope they would step forward if required to do so. I'm sure a sworn affidavit/statement would be all they would need to contribute.

I think I'll wait for the ***Official*** report from City but don't think it'll be as clear cut as many think.

Tbh, it's quite possible that even if the players were told by Tevez that he wasn't in the 'right frame of mind' to play, unless they were directly in front of him when he spoke tom Mancini, they may not have heard what he actually said. In that case, their evidence would only be useful as a backup; to ascertain the player's state of mind & give weight to Mancini's story, rather than as proof he refused to play.

What we need here, is for one of the coaching staff sat right nearby, to repeat word for word what Tevez said (even if he never heard him say it) & stich the little cunt up. Whether this will happen, I don't know but it would if I was there; I'd just ask Bob to tell me exactly what our story was, word for word, then I'd lie through my fucking teeth if neccessary, just like Tevez is going to do.

Then the added testimony of the players (that Tevez moaned to them about not wanting to play) would be enough to convince everyone that he's lying about it, in order to save his arse

Stitch the cunt up & if any of the players object; fuck them off, whoever they are. You're either with us or against us.

Ahem ... I suggest you study the board and time before making such generalisations and indeed postings . . . . ;)

That's it Ted, let's not find the Truth, the Whole Truth and Nothing but the Truth, let's just hear what we want to hear. Luckily, we know the Chairman will not take the easy option as was shown with the Garry Cook/Onuaha affair and we should find out what has actually gone on.

Nice sentiments though.

We know what has gone on; Tevez refused to play, Kia told him he's a thick cunt & this could cost them a fortune & wrote out a statement to get him off the hook as he has already used this ploy with Mascherano, so knows how far you can push it legally.

Our problem is proving it. If the players either didn't hear it, or are hiding, get a member of the coaching staff who 'did' hear it to testify & use the statements which some players have already made (that Tevez said to them that he wasn't ready to play) as evidence to back it up. We're not interested in an inquest as to who said what here which hangs around the dressing room, we just need to sort the little shite out & make a fucking example of him.

Fuck it, just Hang the Fucker High! But as we have already seen, that won't happen. Not arsed about Tevez either way but my biggest concern is what take they will have on Mancini's actions.

what, even if it turns out he was in the right?

I sadly think this is going to get very very messy and honestly don't know if its Tevez being his apparent usual self, Mancini trying to force him out ala Bellers etc or a bit of both. I know the club ain't going to come out well either way

Before leaving Munich Tevez had emerged from the City dressing room and made it clear he wanted to offer his version of events, denying that he had done anything wrong. "I didn't feel right to play, so I didn't," he said.

Informed that Mancini had said he would never wear City's colours again, he replied: "I was top goalscorer here last season, I always act professionally so it is up to him."

What part of that is so fucking difficult to understand?
