Nasri

Nasri

Well if Balo can have his own thread, why not our little franch magician. Two assists and a goal from the bench no less.

Fantastic afternoon and I think unfairly judged on here, we give Dzeko time, Balo time....some people even talking about giving Aguero time to settle in...god knows what he'll be capable of when he's "settled".

Nasri now has 6 assists and 1 goal in 5 games, not a bad return. Proved today and at Tottenham that not only can he play alongside Silva, but he also takes focus off our main playmaker when he is being stiffled.

Fair comments but he has gone missing in a few of the previous games

I think he's had a few disappointing games but he's always likely to create a goal in any game. His, and City's, problem is that we over complicate stuff & keep looking to come inside. Look what happens when Nasri plays a quick one two & puts a ball into the 6 yard box.

That didn't happen v Napoli or Bayern & it needs to. He could do stuff like that all the time if Bob reminds him about it. He has the talent to get that half a yard several times in every game. Then the ball needs to be put in, not turned away & passed backwards.

He was positioning himself very well, we seemed to spot a weakness down their right and went for it.

Nice to see us put a team to the sword, and not back off at 2-0.

He was marvellous v Spurs and great 2nd half yesterday. The rest has been poor. He's settling in, I suppose. I think the notion of his over-playing in certain positions is spot on. A bit like City in general. When we move it more quickly, we look like potential Champions. When we over-play, we seem to grind to a halt.

It will all be good though, the team is bursting with talent and options.

There is no doubt in my mind that Nasri is a class player and he has joined the right club for him. Mancini and co are really getting the best out of him and the stats compared to when he was at Arsenal are ridiculous.

I think the only reason he isn't getting the plaudits he deserves is because he plays in the same side as David Silva. Silva is possibly the only player of his type in the league who is actually better than Nasri right now so is slightly overshadowing him.

Many of us wondered how we would cope if Silva wasn't available, now we have Samir we can stop worrying. The added bonus is that they can also play together so well!

Interview on the OS... Seriously Samir speaks some really good english with no hesitation and very good vocabulary & grammar. I'm very impressed. Especially for someone who have been in England for 3 years and playing Arsenal where I bet he spoke french all day long.

When I'm hearing Thierry Henry or Patrice Evra talking, they remind me of myself with my poor french accent and weak vocabulary. Even tough they were living UK for 6/7 years.

Nasri is a flair player, who will be second to go to with Silva in the team, what I mean by that is Silva makes space where there is none Silva will be feeding Nasri. Same with AJ,,, attacking player who will need to be on fire to nail a birth in the team week in week out, Nasri has also had a dipp after the move, normal that as most players settle down. The Spurs game was so good for Nasri, we need to adjust to a normal level.p

I'm sure Nasri will be a great player for us. Let's not forget he has to get used to new team mates and a different style of football to what he was used to at Arsenal

I noticed this. He strikes me as a very intelligent person. He has a cheek and wit about him that suggests he must be great fun to be around. I like him.

Nasri seemed to play a much more central role yesterday, at least he seemed to receive the ball in the central positions much more. This is where he wants to be but with Silva in the side we often push him out wide where he has struggled in the last few games. Top player and when him and silva are pulling the strings its such a joy to watch

yea they all play fantastic against swensea blackburn wigan well totenhem with unresolved modric situation but when we come across some disceplin team we get slap in a face against napoli bayern complitly blow us away and we spend lets see half of bilion pounds since 2008 and the club who destroy us on field spend in last 6 years somthing araund 100 milions euro, and napoli spend even less so yes nasri play greath against well ridicilus club blackburn who will if they play like that not be staying in premiere and we are all pleased but when we spend half of bilion paunds in 3 years i think win against blackburn swanse and clubs like that shuld be normal , its the bayern we need to beat or at list play the game and not surender after one half but its still to soon , by the way how is your wife slim :)

The difficulty for sami is that his role for us is different than for the arse, in that he is one of 4 potential link up options coming out of defence. This idea that he goes missing is not right in my view in that he is making space for others and we dont see him sometimes because yaya or milner or nige have chosen another option. At these times he is still working his bollocks off and I dont see a problem at all. He is a real asset for us and will only get better

Our best player with Loic Remy. A great decisive pass for Remy's goal. Some great passes.

He played first half as a right winger and the second as a central playmaker, he did a good job in both position.

Can't wait to see him, Ribery and Benzema, at their best level together.

The point people were getting at was that against Bayern and in a couple of other games he was virtually non existent. One of my favorite players, just needs to shake off the inconsistency.
