Dive away I say.
I hate it but the cold fact is if you don't go down you don't get the decision.strikers and defenders do it aswell so there should be no complaints from the teams or managers.

I'd like to know what happened at the meeting Kenny had with his owners. Since making that statement they've had a lot of decisions go their way.

What surprised me (drifting off topic) was that Cahill played and started and tried 'to do' carragher - thought he was above all that & after gollum's out burst I was surprised to see Cahill could still walk!

I see your point but there's a fine line between diving to get a decision (free kick, penalty) and having the player who did nothing being sent off. I know the latter part is mostly down to the ref and not the diving player but the way you dive and exaggerate contact can lead the ref to send off a player who did nothing wrong. It's bad enough that you dive to get the foul but to do so in a way that leads to a sending off is a bit over the top imho.

The thing that seems to have escaped Gollum is that referees watch football matches and talk to each other too, so when they see Rodwell kicking Silva up and down the pitch one week they are preconditioned to think "dirty little twat" when he dives in with his studs up the next. It's a disgrace that no one in the media has ever pulled Gollum up for how he sends his teams out to kick the oppo off the park, too busy blowing smoke up his arse about what a magnificent job he does with no money, but maybe the refs have noticed.

I thought this too - odd that it wasn't mentioned afterwards. I seem to remember a pen (was it a pen?) being thrown at Ga**y Nevi**e in the derby the other year, it was all over the press the following day.

Don't see what the problem is as there was once a similar parallel in the chess world :-

In 1912 at a tournament at Breslau (then part of Germany), Frank Marshall the US champion was playing an opponent called Levitzki. Marshall won with a brilliant combination involving a potential queen sacrifice and the spectators threw gold coins onto the board to show their appreciation. Since then, this game has been known as 'Marshall's Gold Coins Game'.

On that basis, the Toffeescummers, being knowledgeable and fair minded fans, were only throwing coins and bottles at Suarez as a way of showing their appreciation of both his and Liverpool's fine and exciting play.

These Scousers may be a bit abrasive at times but they're all good hearted and salt of the earth types and the FA know this and would never misinterpret their fine intentions.

Tackle reminded me of de jong's on Ben arfa, but without the consequence i.e. caught by the trailing leg. Both accidental, but main difference was Rodwell was hard done by and de jong's a thug who should be banned for life.

And Atkinson banned for 3 matches?

Nope, he'll be back making awful decisions when the league resumes without a care in the fucking world.

NRL has the right idea, poor decision like that sees you working the lower leagues until you work your way back up.

Suarez is a repellent little cheating arsewipe with a rat face. He'll unravel soon and start causing shit around the club, he's the type. His screaming and diving with the Rodwell 'tackle' was a fucking disgrace. He's the new Tranaldo in as much as he is the gobshite theatrics expert of the Premier League.

Other than that, I quite like the man.
