Mancini acted 100% right way and showed fantastic approach to keep his nerve in that situation.

I really do understand that emotion, but....
We were making our stand with other clubs trying to get him on the cheap. £50m if a European club wanted him.
After Munich we will be lucky to get 20m. That one statement has cost us between 20 and 30 million squiddlies. We might be able to afford it, but when it comes to balancing the books for Mr Platini, it leaves a bloody big hole. Plus one striker down in the squad.

No one was going to spend 50m on him. That became clear. There simply wasn't anyone with that sort of money (that's two or three clubs in the world) who was or is interested of him.

I agree that we need to get rid of him for good money and I did agree in summer with holding out for something like 40m but it is clear now that he has quit on us so his value will plummet no matter what Mancini or anyone in the club does. May I also remind that everyone thought that he'd be professional for us until we find suitable buyer. I mean, isn't that his mantra "I have always been professional and give my everything on the pitch". Quite.

Agreed. The idea that Mancini cost us £30m in transfer fee is only valid if there was actually someone willing to pay in excess of £40m for Tevez. No one was remotely interested at that price and the only way we would have shifted him was at a significantly lower value. With hindsight this is what we should have done. We didn't and it blew up in our face so lets now deal with it and move on.

I think it would have been wrong to let him go on the cheap, just like in this case it would be wrong to let him get away with this shit.

Either way, he would be taking the piss out of us & either way we need to show that people can't do that to us & get an easy ride.

I'd agree with that Ted. Letting him go at 40m was a bit of a swizz when you see the price of somebody like Torres...or Carroll.

Lets get one thing straight - this is the fucking turds fault and NOONE elses---and its also the TURDS fault that we have to shave off 20 to 30 million off his selling price.

Mancini is not at fault here...the fucking TURD is by refusing orders.... whether that be to warm up (THE LIEING CUNT) or come on as a sub...it makes no difference to me.....Mancini will win this fight, and rightly so.

It wasn't about right or wrong when it came to selling Tevez in the summer. Its was about the market value of Tevez and what City perceived the market value to be and what the actual market value was. City wanted in excess of £40m and at that price tag no one was remotely interested in a 27 y/o striker with a track record of causing problems and is on record as saying he will retire at 30.

Mancini wanted Tevez out and Tevez wanted out. City effectively priced Tevez way above what the market was prepared to pay and here we are dealing with the fallout. The only way to avoid/contain the fallout was to continue pandering to Tevez and make him the sole focal point of the team and doing that for a player who has handed in two transfer requests and just wants out would have been stupid. Makes more sense to build a team round a group of players some of who are interchangeable and all of whom want to be at City and are prepared to work for the team as much as they are themselves. Mancini has evolved and moved the team dynamic on from last season and it no longer included Tevez - there were glimpses of this last year when Tevez was injured with debates about whether we played better as a team without Tevez.

Trying to get as much money for Tevez as possible was fine but there was no point in being stupid over it or getting all hung up on what some idiot paid for Torres and another idiot paid for Carroll. The fact is Tevez's market value was not in excess of £40m. Not selling Tevez for £20m + in the summer was in hindsight a bad business decision. People may not have liked it and people may have moaned about getting shafted on transfers or whatever but at the end of the day we would have been £20m better off and not dealing with this shit

Well it's typical that in practical terms it could work out a bit of a dog's breakfast.
With Balo and Sergio apparently carrying knocks we could have done with Carlito stepping up to the plate. Regardless of blame, all of a sudden strikers look a bit thin on the ground.

Tevez has been millionaire since the age of 16. That's half of his life basically. If there was grain of slum left in him, he wouldn't refuse to play when he is being paid million a month.

Oh, and Clough grew up in Middlesbrough in 30's and 40's. And smacked his players more than once in his career. And coaches. And chairmen. Somehow I fancy Clough on this one.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Unless Clough lives in Raccoon City i'd place my bets on Tevez....

The £50mil price tag was bang on in light of what Torres when for ... hindsight would say that that was actually cheap when you look at the return Chelsea have had on that so far.

Don't forget the fans, Clough cuff a couple of those round the ear when they invaded the pitch once, green sweatshirt and all ....

Kia the spin merchant, has this afternoon blames the the translation. Alao has a pop at Roberto's handeling of the situation. Which he describes as a different management style to others. 24 hours after Tevez leaves the country his mouth peice starts. Keep it up for me, hopefully both will be finished with us soon.

So the translation was wrong TWICE in the space of an hour, even though there were a bunch of Spanish speaking people all over the place who could have been asked.

I'm not sure the translation shown on Sky news was the one done by the bloke onscreen anyway. I think they re-translated it.

We are now being officially blamed by the media for burning an effigy of Tevez btw & getting universally slagged off for it.

Check out the face on Mrs Tevez in the photo on here. He's just uprooted her & the kids from Argentina, all the way to Manchester, then he fucking does this. Not a happy bunny.

Durham has just given the official translation of what Tevez said & it's exactly what everyone thought he said in the 1st place, not what Joorabchian is claiming.

Exactly! I think Vicky Kloss (sp) even tried stopping him. Thankfully she didn't get there in time and he's pretty much admitted it.

This is a very easy choice, RM every time. I'm still disgusted with that Argie retard and hope I never have to see him play again for us.
I'd still not forgiven him for his other piss poor obvious attempts to de-stabilise us and hope he just fucks off without any more of our cash.
