i think Jagielka too...Richards isnt even on the bench and Jagielka is Jones' backup at RB.

I am almost certain i saw a while back an interview with Micah, or article saying he wants to retire untill Capello goes. I think it was in august or somewhere near that date.

LE: Dreadful night for Pantylemmons. Pathetic performance so far.

Used to get very involved, emotionally, in England games, now they just provide comedic relief from watching proper football.

I was just thinking that, I don't think I'd want to be one of those insufferable rags who 'hate' England, I'd like to see England do well, but I can't say I'm that bothered about tonight. If anything it was amusing seeing Rooney has still got no control of his temper, despite what the press say about Ferguson sorting him out, and that Jones looked fucking hopeless.

I thought Savic (and indeed Montenegro) looked a lot better when they switched him to right back, instead of having that midfielder there.

Good point about people who shelve England because they are used to seeing winning football domestically. My angle is that I've seen no improvement at all in the England team for years in the football they play. If they got the same average results but played with a bit of flair I wouldn't be so dismissive, but they never do even the simple things right because they would rather whack long balls which look flashy on telly. Couple that with genuine twats like Rooney, Terry, Cole, Lampard and Gerrard, and they are a team I've grown to hate.

There's far better England teams than this one been sent home early. With world class players like Walcott, Bent, Downing and Parker in the side we'll be lucky to get out of the group stage.
Balotelli......that's a brilliant finish.

It´s no fun telling these cocky fuclers here that England are shit. I just tell them I support my hometown club and that´s more important - they don´t get it at all. Young democracy and all that I suppose
Micah´s treatment by Capello is nothing short of shameful - Jones? Don´t make me laugh!!

I switched over to watch Spain once I read on here that they were on ITV4. Like a breath of fresh air. Silva is wonderful.

Then I switched England back on & watched a bunch of wankers (now for some reason containing Lampard & Downing WHY ?) let in a goal to Montenegro. Not a genius, lightning Lionel Messi, five man passing move but a fucking cross to the far post where a bloke gets a free header. The kind of move they see every week back home but for some reason, all of a sudden, they can't defend it. Reminded me of City at Bayern.

I think Micah's been brilliant this season but, let's face it, Jones (Basle aside) hasn't been too bad either. Tonight he was pretty gash though.

At least Capello is picking a lot of players on recent form now.

Doesn't seem to be much of an outcry against Rooney for his red card so far.

Is he?

Like someone previously pointed out cahill (sp) and Bolton are bottom of the league, jones was picked at right back even though he doesn't play there, purely because of the media hype, Parker got relegated with west ham, Walcott....(seriously?), bent...

The English media picks the team, its a joke.

Supremely glad Richards, Lescott, Milner and AJ played no part in the England game. They are fresh as daisy's for a busy schedule ahead for City which is far more important.

As for the England team, slice it and dice it any way you like but they are just not actually that good.
