At these times he is still working his bollocks off and I dont see a problem at all. He is a real asset for us and will only get better

The point people were getting at was that against Bayern and in a couple of other games he was virtually non existent. One of my favorite players, just needs to shake off the inconsistency.

1 goal and 6 assists...Id say that was consistent enough.

He isn't consistent, he has 2 two stand out games where he broke the charts (Tottenham and Blackburn, 1 goal and 5 assists came from those 2 games I believe) and others game where he goes from not bad to inexistant.

BTW he never had a season where he was top notch from august to may, but I guess it can be it right now. He definitely have world class potential, I saw him since he's 17 he has the total package. When him, Silva and Aguero will definitely put strings together, oh lord...

Consistency always has been his major flaw.

Yes they all came in 2 games or something.
Against Bayern, Everton, Fulham he really was anonymous. In the games he's played well he's been really good.
Consistency means playing well in most if not every game.

I think it's new club syndrome - even Aguero is showing signs of it - I suspect his first game after the international break (having spent time with some fellow Frenchies) will be a good one, then maybe some more inconsistency.

Perhaps but I think it's a bit of a weak excuse tbh. Arsenal fans said the same thing about him, brilliant one week- anonymous the next. It's a part of his game he needs to work on because when he plays well he's one of the best in the world.

Most of their grumbles were from last season if I remember correctly, and I seem to remember him having a 'season of two halves' - it's possible he made his mind up halfway through the season to leave.
