In all sincerity, I can't decide whether it was a penalty or not. It was definitely borderline and I'd have been gutted had it been given against City or England in a game of such magnitude. You suggest an inherent pro-French bias and claim that Bosnia would never have been given the penalty. I'm tempted to think that you would've been given the penalty in Sarajevo, as these marginal decisions do tend to fall the way of the home side on the whole.

As for your complaint about the UK not lifting a finger to help Bosnia, I'd argue that it was the UK who convinced the other members of NATO - specifically the US - to intervene in 1998 (or '99, I can't remember). I think some of the board members who were serving in the armed forces back then might take exception to your remarks, so I'd be careful what you say. Consider this kind advice.

Other than that, welcome to the board and don't worry about the shortcomings in your English. Just try to understand the culture of the place before getting upset at things said in jest.

Well said Ted!!!. I will be one of the ones who he classes as hating his country, not that I hate anything, I have little hatred in my soul. However I have had email exchanges with the chap. Started cause I took the piss out of his spell checker, then I apologised much to my regret now. Then I quoted him on a different issue on Mancini taking us to success then he proper took bat and ball home and said I was attacking him, didn't understand him, didn't understand Bosnians bla bla bla. I only told him he needs to get his head round our humour. I know we are not on here to single out individuals but for fucks sake this is wearing thin with me now. Couldn't give a flying frig where he's from, whether he loves Dzecko or whatever, nor do I have hatred to his fellow country man but the guy needs to try and take some things as they are intended a j-o-k-e.

I now however actually do think it is one long wind up and that he maybe isn't who is makes out he is.
