Would've preferred 3-0 to 4-1.

Milner MotM for me. Worked his tail off, especially on defense, and scored a great goal..and even set it up.
For me he's been one of our best players this season and has performed in every match this season he's played in.

Honorable mentions for Richards, NDJ, and Johnson.
Great to see NDJ back in the side for 90 min and back to his old self.

Lescott was above and away our worst player today...that horror miscue that almost lead to an Agbonlahor goal, stupid
mistakes on defense, and his dumb marauding forward. Wouldnt be surprised if Kolo started at CB in mid-week.

If we were going to rest Silva I dont see why Mancini brought him on and risked him...but thats just me.

Good showing..very unexpected result for me. Bad luck for Given.
I'm not really a City fan. I'm just here for attention.

Similar to the Blackburn game that, we just slowly got a bit better.

Other teams are scared to death of us, seems like we get a goal, most other teams let their heads drop abit, we get another, they secretly know its over. Its a great edge to have.

Done very well up to here so far, but the next game, away vs Scum, is THE test. We could be happy with a draw with it being at their ground and with us 2 points ahead with the goal different too now. But I can see us taking it to them and beating them with pure quality.

Man City have netted 27 goals so far this season, no side has ever scored more after 8 PL matches (Arsenal hit 27 in '09/10). Prolific."

Another great win. This is phenomenal goalscoring and attacking football, even without our very best players. Next weekend, though, we need to pass the kind of test we've failed so far this season - beating one of the best teams in Europe. Till then, though, we are top, deserve to be top, and we can look forward to Sunday with a lot of optimism.

Re. Tuesday: A win against Villarreal would now be a bonus for me, as subconsciously I've just about written off the Champions League. So, if we do cock it up again I'll not be particularly devastated as the PL is something we can definitely win this year while I think we're still a couple of years away from being tight enough to challenge for the CL.

Shaky 10 to 15 mins or so but after that we just started to play football.....I think Villa shat themselves as they played against us as if they respected us far too much...very poor from them but cannot take anything away from City...everyone played well apart from Lescott who is utter shite and still brings absolutely nothing to the table as a top defender...my fucking head fell off when he lost that ball to Abgonodiarhia.

Bench the cunt please Bob !

It's a tricky one. If we don't beat Villareal, we might as well jack in the CL. That sounds defeatest, maybe. We absolutely do not want to finish 3rd in that group and end up in the Europa League. We can then go on and try to win the Double, which I think is definitely within our capability. Perhaps see how far we go in the Carling.

If we beat Villareal, which we will, the Carling should be for the B team. City can absolutely win the Premier League this year. Next Sunday will reveal all.

The bloody Europa League is something I keep forgetting about. I can see huge amounts of controversy, as clubs doing poorly in the Champions League but doing well in their domestic league try to lose just so they can finish bottom of their group and not have to play in the Europa.

As you say, though, Villarreal are there to be beaten if we really want to beat them. Then who knows?
