MOTM -v- Villa

Postby Arjan Van Schotte » Sat Oct 15, 2011 5:09 pm

Milner for me. Pat Nevin gave it to yaya - wtf???

And before anyone wanks off over balo - his passing was often appalling today. Also - i can see kolo becoming first choice ahead of lescott again.

Gone for Milner.I was a bit surprised that Mario got it to be honest.

Johnson and Clichy also played really well today.

NDJ for me, Clichy a close 2nd.

Yaya? Really, that is insane. I thought he was utter shite. I can't understand the vote for Lescott either, made a really bad error to let in the completely useless Agbonlahor and then jumped like a school kid when beaten easily by Heskey. I'd much rather have Kolo alongside Kompany.

Mr de Jong for me, he showed today why we miss him so much when he isn't in the side.

Mario did he job getting the 1st goal and waking things up but I was surprised and how many things he did poorly. It has to be Nigel for me.I thought he was immense especially in the first half.

he wasn't motm, but wasn't shite either. We won 4-1 and he played a part in it. This calling out of some players even when we win is getting boring

I'd agree Mario's passing wasn't good at first, but after his goal the rest of his game picked up quite a bit. Also, Nige was great to see out again and Hargreaves looked full of energy. Milner's pass and goal was incredible

I'm going for Richards.

Without doubt the best right back in the league for me. Literally put 1 pass wrong all match and made a last ditch challenge against Bent which saved us worrying. A pleasure to watch.

Well done to De Jong, Milner and Balo too.

Voted Milner, with AJ as a close second. In the first half, he really stepped up and shouldered the responsibility, providing a creative outlet in the absence of Silva and Nasri.

Thought Nige was superb, just edged it from Milner for me

Didn't surprise me at all that the official one was Mario as the club made it a Twitter vote, meaning the only people who would be able to vote weren't at the ground (where the data service is non-existent once the stadium fills up), so the majority of voters probably didn't even see the game

Balo by a considerable margin..running..tackling..even back in our own goal mouth with defensive headers

Was brilliant today and I can wank off over whoever I want Arjan ;-)

Milner for me, with AJ not too far behind. Honourable mentions for Balo and NDJ as well.

I went for Clichy. He was superb today, winning everything in the air and on the ground, and providing a great outlet in attack as well.

But honourable mentions for some others too. Milner was excellent - when given the freedom to roam the pitch like he was today, he always puts in a great performance. His goal was fantastic, both the pass to AJ and the finish itself. Great game from NDJ - he slotted back into the team with ease and marshalled the area between defence and midfield - an area where the opposition has found some room so far this season. Also, I thought Richards had another very good game, and AJ had his best game in a long time. And although he had pretty much nothing to do, well done to Hart for a great save in the first half in the one-on-one situation.

TRUE.

Mario for me btw. Led the line well, some glorious little touches and a good work ethic.

Thought NDJ showed just how hes is important to our squad - in some games he will be absolutely 1st name on the sheet - although perhaps not normally at home to villa
