AJ for me.. really pleased for the lad Assisted 3 and scored a goal.. If he gets more playing time this season he will be the best winger in the league. Got to give a mention to Clichy and Milner aswell.. oh and Mancini.

But the Italian was less impressed with the display of winger Adam Johnson who, despite scoring one and having a hand in City's three other goals, did not do enough to earn his manager's praise.

He said: "His performance was so-so in the first half. When Adam is 100 per cent he is a fantastic player. He scored an important goal, but I want him to play better."

No doubt because Mancini see AJ as one of those who needs to keep his feet on the floor.He definitely can get big headed very quickly.

Milner for me.
Was all over the park, in a good way, and got a goal too. His contributions in games are regularly overlooked and overshadowed by Silva, but today I thought he stood out.

Haven't read the sky report, but if reported correct then personally i have no problem with that from Bob.
From my own perspective I think that AJ is playing more as a team player than ever, this imo has got to be down to Mancini.
Reading between the lines some i rekon it is quite clear that both AJ is or was that kind of character/player that on achieving some early success at both City and with England, kind of decided he had arrived and assumed that was it. Bob purposefully brought him down to earth. AJ had a bit of a grumble but Mancini did enough arm round shoulder to bring young Adam to his senses.
My take on Mancini is that he only bothers to do this if the player's character and intelligence is worth it. So imo AJ has basically been re-learning his trade under Bob and is now showing some real signs of much better decision making and positioning, particularly around the area and in defending, he is working harder too.
The point is though that he can get a lot better yet, he wont have lost any of the skills we saw when he arrived but they are second place to the football intelligence and all round ability. If you think Giggs then it would be close to what sort of potential AJ has. For that i think Bob is right to play hard ball with AJ and to push him on on and on.

Milner for me; but not much to choose between him and Super Mario who was often to be seen probing out on the left, when he seemed to be quiet.
Lets hope Milner continues to get plenty of opportunities to develop his game as he's come on a ton since the beginning of the season

I thought de Jong and Barry were superb in terms of anticipating problems, tactically spot on. Agbonlahor had little or no impact, Bent was anonymous and a lot of that was down to the two in midfield preventing their creative rhythm. The back four were all solid, with Clichy as the stand-out for his endeavours on both ends. Balotelli is improving week-on-week, not just in performances, but in his attitude. Johnson was a little inconsistent, but played a part in every single goal.

Milner was the stand out player though. So many players would make a Hollywood pass the nature of his, and stand there admiring it. Did he? Did he fuck. First instinct was to follow it up, and then the finish! He'll emerge as one of the first names on the teamsheet as opposed to a squad player with performances like that.
