Edin put in a monster shift yet again tonight.
He made a bollox of a few chances but in fairness to him he is finding some great positions.
All i really want to say is how happy i am that City are finally showing they are a side capable of competing with the best.

I don't think he put in a monster shift tonight. I thought he should have put more effort in and he needs to use his strength far more than he did last night.
However, I do agree that he did get into some great positions and from what he showed at the beginning of the season we know he can finish so I'm sure he'll find his scoring boots soon enough.
For Sunday's match though, he should be on the bench. Balotelli is the man in form so deserves to start and after a few more training sessions Aguero should be closer to full fitness too.

Watch a re run of that game & just watch Dzeko's lack of effort to reach or hold on to the ball. It's not fucking anywhere near good enough; it is unacceptable. Ask any striker to tell you what Dzeko should have been doing, compared to what he was actually doing; it was fundamentally fucking wrong; schoolboy stuff. Not good enough by any standard.
I mentioned this shit when he was playing well; he'd stopped all this big fucking girl's blouse stuff, & he wasn't giving the ball away in a half arsed manner. He was fighting for every ball & setting himself to hang on to it & with that attitude came his success in other areas. If he can't be fucking arsed hanging on to the ball, we can sign someone who will; it's upto him.

Original Dub wrote:Its like de ja vu. The guy is not suited to a lone striker's role in this team. When he has a partner, he's far better. A lot of that team sucked yesterday but the usual suspects seem to have over looked the fact that dzeko was right behind aguero for the same simple tap in and it would have been hom soaking the glory just as easily. That's the fine line we are dealing with in this case. But one idiot in particular uses every opportunity to have a go at one of his own players. And when bridge's right foot isn't doing that, he's generally making a fucking retard out of himself.
Five yards to the penalty spot? Dzeko is shite? You never said dzeko was shite? Scoring from open play is the same as scoring a penalty? Where's the nearest window, I could do with a good lick?
Its endless...

Some poor misses.

What has happened to him, looks back to last season's form.
Blue Blood wrote:Terrible last night, worst game in a city shirt by far.
This said he could have ended up with a brace if marchena and aguero hadn't had cut in before him for the goals, he was waiting beside both for tap ins.
That's the kind of striker he is.
Frustrating but he will get goals.
