Legends -

Shaun Wright Phillips
Ali Benarbia
Andy Morrison
Dickov

Future -

Vincent Kompany
Hart

Possible -

Silva
Aguero
A Johnson
Balotelli
Yaya

You include Johnson but not Richards? And where's de Jong?
I also think Barry is just as important to our team, if not more important, than Yaya.

I'm pretty sure that Balotelli will become a City legend for all sorts of reasons.

Silva without a doubt - when he has a bad game we struggle, when he isn't in the lineup we look like a different team (and quite often struggle). I still don't know how he is able to get his passes off while double-marked most of the time.

I'd put the entire FA Cup Semi & Final winning Squad Along with Bobby Manc in there as a collective entry.

However any of Hart, Kompany, DeJong, Silva and Yaya could potentially end up there depending on the next 5 years.

Dunne should be in there..

Legend is a word that is bandied around too easily but of the current mob then...
Silva.
And maybe as a cult hero...
Balo.

Legend is as much about loyalty to the club as it is goals or great football

Sweep would have been there if he hadn't gone to Chelsea

Hart and Richards have a very good chance, vinnie and nige could make it, the rest, it's too early to tell

Gareth Barry. A Legend should always be bigger than life.

Of all the current players the one who could have been closest to having a stand named after him was herman. Then he handed in a transfer request and it's gone downhill since

Obviously the opportunity to have been referred to in the same terms as Bell, Lee and Summerbee whilst being the best paid player in the country wasn't enough. His agent told him he could get more so the problems started.

Therefore who knows what the future holds for the rest of them

Kompany. Easy question. NDJ maybe.

Yaya has minor legend status based on those 2 goals last season. He's been shite since, mainly.

Zab would get my vote from the current squad. He'll play wherever Mancini asks him to, no moaning, no tantrums. He gives 100% every time. Not the most skilful player, but then neither was Goater or Dickov. He genuinely seems to give a shit if we win and I think he'll play for us until he's told to go.

I agree Vinny will probably be a City legend, but then a lot of our central defenders fall into that category... says more about the club than most things.

De Jong most certainly will be. Not sure about Yaya or Balo, not sure either will be at the club long enough.

Joe Hart has the potential to be a world footballing legend if he stays focussed.

Wildcard... when Dedryck comes back next season he could slot right next to Vinny and be there for years.

Dickov isn't a city legend IMHO, yes he scored that goal, but what else did he do? He will be a part of pur history, but not a lege, that takes something more

I reckon he gets legend status just for that goal. Just think where we would be if he hadn't. He literally changed the fate of our club with one kick.

richards is heading there fast

hart is the same I agree with the majority

balo for me though is making his own folklore in the club - if we can keep him on for another 5 years - his name will be passed down through the generations

Cult status perhaps for Dickov. Not quite a legend.

Fair point, many will agree with you no doubt, but he was no Billy Meredith or Colin Bell and they will be remembered time In memoriam
