Good result though the Toure, Savic and Pantilimon axis looks suspect to say the least. If we draw one of the other big boys we will need to put the Gnomes away at the back and play Hart, Kompany and Lescott if we want to advance.

Q-F is the most important round to get a home draw in, so Palace, Cardiff or Blackburn at home would be ideal.

Pleased with AJ, Nasri, Kolarov and Dzeko when we had the ball. Razak had a decent game and De Jong did the necessary. The two centre halfs were decidedly nervy and the keeper gives me the creeps.

Central defence was pants and it filtered to zab and kola. Midfield lacked a "Milner" (love being able to say that) but other than that good!

We're just about to be shown on 'The League Cup Show' (I think)
VIVA EL CITIES

"The adjudicatory chamber of the Ethics Committee ... has banned Mr Joseph S. Blatter ... for eight years and Mr Michel Platini ... for eight years from all football-related activities (administrative, sports or any other) on a national and international level. The bans come into force immediately." - 21/12/2015

Good performance. Thought Razak was OK, Scapucci promising and some nice touches by Suarez. Panti doesn't look to have the best hands. AJ superb and another confidence boost for Nasri and Edin.

Job done.

The worry for me was Toure. He looks heavy and has zero mobility. Savic isn't ready and we look short at centre half if we lose Lescott or Vinny. Two questions I suppose, why the fuck did Bobby play Kolo in Munich? I'm not being critical, I just can't get my head round it. Also, new centre half required in Jan, who?
we've got love bites and everything

I've wondered why he played kolo that night from the min I saw the team sheet.

Weird.

From the Independent match report.

Love this quote...

There is something intimidating, something irresistible about City when they have the scent of blood in their nostrils. This is no purple patch. Where others have beauty – as purpose and philosophy – City have blitzkrieg.
