I'm on my phone and in work but can someone find out how many points the league leaders had at Christmas last year?

34pts from 16 games, you don't need to know who.

We had 32 from 18 and sat in 3rd.

The potential turd in the Christmas cake is the fact that we have to win very very difficult CL games before going to Anfield & Stamford Bridge. If we manage to beat them along with the rags, away from home, after playing midweek, it will be something few, if any past PL Champions would have managed. It would put us right up there with the very best teams of the past.

if we can do that well, they might as well give us the title there and then.
i think our hardest game will be red scouse away.

Possibly, but when the season started we would have looked at Spurs & rags away as two of our hardest games ! We would expect to drop points at several of these games & hopefully get them back at home. Even if we were to lose at both Chelsea & Scouse, the fantastic rags result still puts us on course for the title. After those games, we will have played almost all of our most daunting away games & all our competitors will have to come to us, whereas rags will have to travel to most of them.

excellent point that about rags all the top 6 clubs have to play them at home except liverpool.
so points dropped a many when they travel away. we will have played all the top teams away 1st, except arsenal and the rest come to us, stay unbeaten till the turn round in fixtures, and we will be heavy odds on to win the prem.
