If we drew the rags

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

If we drew the rags

Postby Piccsnumberoneblue » Fri Oct 28, 2011 8:00 am

Would bacon face play his first team (I would say full strength but it sounds wrong) or his reserves?
I suspect he would play a weakened team to protect his 'stars' from another humiliation.

It's more likely they will get cardiff and we will get chelsea.

They need/will get all the help the bent draw can give them because thry are FUCKING shit.

I dont care who we play. Most likely though, Taggart would play his reserves, to save another embarrassment.

I would say United are rank outsiders .... I think they have been cooking with water all season long.

All we need now is for Everton to tonk them tomorrow and a nice draw against them at home. Really turn 'em over. From now on unless we draw a small club from lower divisions, we should use the youngsters as needed. I'd rather see them brought on when the points seem secure than to start with them. It's the quarter final , we need to get points in the CL and we must try and pull away in the league before the FA cup starts . So I think the lads that got a chance on wednesday should now be used as subs for games as appropriate. We have sufficient strength in depth to rest one or two players each game and still start with a very strong eleven. Tomorrow for example we must be bold and beat Wolves by a good margin ( they won't be easier than the crap we met last week at OT :-) ).

Don't really want the Rags cos it'd be £40 notes a ticket (the 4th round is the last round in the cup scheme where it's guaranteed to be £15 notes). To be honest as much as I'd want a day out at Cardiff or Crystal Palace, i'd happily have them both at home.

Chelsea, Liverpool, The Filth, Arsenal all still remain so chances are we'll get one of them.

We'll get Chelsea away, the rest will get Blackburn, Cardiff, Palace all at home

The defence we played v Wolves would get anihilated by the rags, be it 1st or 2nd string strikers. Berbatov & Owen would have them for breakfast.

They understood the psychological damage it could do. If we play a weak team they will try like fuck to put 6 past it; that's how Ferguson works.

IMO both Mancini and Fergie would put a side enough to beat the opposition. If either side play Cardiff, Crystal Palace or Blackburn the B side will largely play. If the "Big Guns" Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal or Liverpool the A side will mostly play. All managers will want to win silverware. This is the first chance this season.

It has been pleaseing to see the League Cup taken more seriously this year.

Perhaps with our emergence there are more clubs from the old 'top tier', e.g. Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal that see this as a chance (maybe the only one) to win silverware and so it is more important.

......(god that sounds like the sort of thing an arrogant red twat would have been writing over the last many years......urgh!!)

Home draw please. The most important time to get a home draw is the Q-F stage as its the last time full home advantage is available.
