...has to be Gareth Barry no?

Must admit bazza has surprised me this season, he's been very good every game.
He was like this at villa, shit first 2 seasons but once settled very good player.
Cappello sees a lot in him so hie must be good at something, plus mancini sees him as a key player too.

Yep, Yaya for me, too. He gets panned by some because "he isn't any kind of footballer", or whatever, and is accused of being lazy, but he is often quietly efficient, and when we need someone to charge forward from midfield with a powerful run he is the man for that, too. Also, if he has been quiet of late, it's probably on instructions so that others can bomb forward.

The real hero this season (though certainly not unsung) has been the manager.

He's managed to do what all the nay sayers thought was impossible and "got all those egos to play as a team" while simultaneously shattering records along the way; trouncing our hated enemies on their own pitch, and playing attractive football.

Roberto Mancini - I salute you !

As I always have ;-)

This is true. He's done exactly what we were all hoping but not all convinced he would do. I could watch that kind of football forever even if we won fuck all, but as I know we can actually win stuff, I'm going to moan like fuck when I think he gets it wrong!

For his next trick, I think he should consider being a bit more 'last season' in his approach to the Chump's Lg, at least in some games. He has been the star performer this season though. Not exactly unsung though tbf!

I agree - he was a bit cavalier in his approach to the first two CL games (or certainly the players were). Having said that, it's likely that de Jong was a bigger loss than many thought in those games.

And I already said he was certainly not unsung you grumpy fucker ;-)

How about that weird fucker on the bench who looks like Velázquez? We've been ace ever since he rocked up some time last season.

Edit: Massimo Battara, goalkeeping coach.

I think the real unsung heroes are the ones who stay until the very end at every match. I salute you all!
