Let them have the ball for a while, tire themselves out and then batter them :) Great when/if it happens like that but there will come a game when we go a goal down at the opposition have a defence! Top response last night to going a goal down but it won't always be that easy

don't get me wrong, I am very pleased with how we look now, BUT

if we come against some very strong european side and concede a goal...

Stop spoiling the piss taking - of course it will all go wrong very soon in a match or 2..but lets milk it whilst we can!

That's all very well Carl but Doug is right. We're gathering new 'fans' regularly now and the last thing we ought to be doing is encouraging them to become cocky, arrogant fuckers like those from Trafford.

Once the spaces are there, we have just the best passing attack this league has seen in a decade and slice through them like they aren't even there.

Take a look at the 5th goal last night, best goal of the night and it was a tap-in, because there was space and movement, crisp passing and using the right options and every goal should be like that.(Admittedly, a lot of ours ARE like that)

you surely must be talking about my cat, not yours.

Coral are giving 5/1 on the first goal being scored 21-30 minutes.

Please send me a share of your winnings.

I don't think it's arrogance, I think it's recognition of Mancini's strategy taking form. Don't panic, when they have the ball we maintain our shape and discipline and pass ourselves into the game, very Italian.

There will be games where it doesn't work, Bayern for example, but the fact it has worked in 11 games out of 14 this season means he is onto something.

Disagree

I think v Bayern we WEREN´T patient and we tried to take the game to them too much early doors INSTEAD OF being cagey and shadow boxing for the first half hour. We shot our bolt and got picked off way too easily

We don't have the cutting edge in the CL though, for some reason. I don't think we've played as well in the Champion's Lg as we have in the prem either tactically or individually. Personally I don't think it's down to the oppo being so much better, just the fact that we've been poor. Imo, many of our PL performances would have been good enough to get at least a point at Bayern & beat the other two but we don't play with the same fluency or width. Nerves perhaps ?

My take was that we were complacent v Bayern. We started well and didn't show nerves imo, were fluid and kept the ball off them. If you remember the problems started when everyone started marauding upfield at the same time. After getting suckered we failed to react well enough to Bayern gaining confidence and upping their game somewhat. We then lost it for a while after the second.

I would say it was inexperience basically and on another day with more care we would have beaten Bayern or kept it to a draw. Unlike perhaps many I am not worried about the Bayern return game, I think City are better than Bayern but need to respect them properly.
