A clear red for a professional foul.

Harts fault for once again batting the ball straight back out into the six yard box from a shot. Going to cost us Vinny for three games.

To be honest Hart has been below average the last few games. That was not Vinnies fault really...down to Hart.

Yeah was poor from Joe, he shouldn't have been allowed to get the shot off either though, was allowed space again when he could have been closed down or challenged. Poor from the DMs in the zone, Yaya i think.. not sure though.

Correct BBS - glad someone pointed it out. Nige would have ripped his leg off before being allowed so much time to shoot. Yaya´s fault for not tracking him and leaving a huge gaping hole in our midfield. He turns off to easily sometimes and got too involved arguing about the free kick. I would rest him Wed tbh coz we can´t afford that again

Ted Hughes wrote:Imo, that was the best home performance so far this season. Some of the tempo to our football was awesome when we stepped it up. We had plenty of variety, mixed up different styles & were at times lightning on the break. Wolves teally defended well & when we did get through, the keeper made good saves.

We've struggled to get our game together v well organised defences, but imo we came up against exactly that today & always looked like we'd nick a goal. Lescott & Vinny were superb & Gareth Barry could have played in Barca's team today; he was fucking awesome.
People are calling it a bad day at the office. I call it a title winning type performance.

Only criticisms are Joe with yet another assist & Vinny getting himself sent off. We have the firepower to score goals, there's no need to be red carded.

Finally, credit to Savic; slagged him the other night, only fair I say he did his job well when he came on.

Ref must be gutted at the result but he did his best to change the direction of play whenever possible.

I'll go with that, possibly just about the best home performance on the basis that we mixed the play up to suit the situation and Wolves set up. That should be qualified though as a team performance cos I thought Silva, Aguero, Dzeko didn't have their best days and struggled for a bit fluidity up front. Wolves provided perhaps the best performance of any visiting PL team this season.
I hope the mixing it up a bit is a sign of things to come and also a sign of a bit more maturity in the understanding between the players. we'll see.
I know it was probs always on the cards but bringing AJ in was a good move by Bob that paid off by taking the nervy ending out of the game.

He is a bit of an enigma is Yaya, fucl knows how many times he has done that so far this season. He must get pulled up for it I'm sure, but he just switches off or basically doesn't bother. I'm trying to remember if he did this a lot start of last season as we were moaning about him drifting around i know. Then he seems to pick up speed and alertness mid way through the season and barely puts a foot wrong. Can't understand it at all. Probably just needs a slap.

I don't remember him complaining when we spent well over the odds for him, the lightweight twat.

Meanwhile, Alan Green was glowing in his praise of the Rags, who of course only pay peanuts for players and field academy graduates.

Still, they can whinge and moan and trot out their cliches all day and night when City win the Premier League. If it means so much to them to be so bitter and angry and grudging, then they are to be pitied.

I heard Green say this morning that he had tipped us to win the title this year; has anybody here heard him say that prior to 3pm last Sunday?

Yes remember reading this a while back and almost falling off me chair

No wondr I hadn't heard of it, but he seems to be questioning it, as if he hadn't made up his mind

Good performance which didn't turn into spectacular partly because of Wolves and the ref they brought with them but also because we didn't finish that well today.
I agree Barry was exceptional today but I thought Yaya was also good alongside him.The pair of them in that role don't do the obvious special things but they do the simple things very well and read the game superbly. We had 10 men for the last whatever period and I don't think Wolves had one remotely serious chance on goal. Lescott and Vinnie were top notch and but for Joe's error it would have ended as a stroll in the park 3 nil win.

Kolarov got MotM in the ground and I guess that's because he scored and made one or two good breaks which caught the eye. Good game yes but MotM was Barry for me with Joleon just behind. The key guys to make it a spectacular weren't at their very best today but watching the game again just now they weren't bad either.

Some good stuff from all the front 4 but it was nearly and not quite today. Oh and Micah was good again and a real threat charging forward as he does.

Any thoughts about the game have to include something on the ref. Some decisions not liked by the fans and players were actually correct but he was awful.Trevor Francis said he was strong not to be swayed and that's true. Not swayed into giving balanced decisions as time and again he ignored fouls on City players and it seemed it wasnt possible to foul Silva at all. Then he would give something trivial the other way.I ws amazed he didnt give a foul against Mario when he won the ball and broke to help set up the last goal.

Anyway a good win against a well set up ,defensive side who came for a point.

I believe that was Trevor Francis who said that, no?

Nope. It may be taking the piss out of the rags but it's still adapted from their song and it's fucking arrogant.

Hope it doesn't catch on but unfortunately it might be too late for that.

Rank it up there with 'we'll buy your club and burn it down' in the pantheon of wank chants.

100% with you on this one, so much did it make my 7yr old sons skin crawl at the charity shield that I had explain the meaning of the word ARROGANT, which is shocking when you think about it!!! Totally don't give a Shit, something like that should be completely reserved for singing to rag scum on derby days NEVER at any other time, simple as.

Do we really want to become as classles as them wankers? Despite having supported City for 40+ years, living in their shadows for the last 20+ yrs, I would really like to think we would do it with class and originality.

Followed closely by Barry.

Thanks for sharing, Ryan, your photos were enjoyable. Here's hoping you get a taste for watching City.
