Well I guess this period will tell us a lot about the depth of our squad? You can also pretty much rule Kun & Zabba against barcodes as they have games in south America on 11th and 15th, so won't be back in Manchester until at least the 16th...

Fatboy, didn't get a call up by Argentina ;)

You could say we have had a reasonable set of games to start the season and get up to speed. Now this is where it starts to get quite serious. We are still an unknown quantity imo and it wouldn't surprise me if scraped through that lot of games still flying.

It seems impossible to second guess Mancini, but I would have thought that it might make sense to use someone like Milner or Nasri to alternate with Silva. Saying that i don't think either they or the rest of the team are ready for that yet... unless of course one of them steps it up another notch in the next few games.

To be fair, it's about time. After ten games we've played only two of the sides expected to be in the top four or five this season. Win most of those, staying in Europe and top of the league, and we may well have passed the toughest tests of the season.

This is true. In those 2 games, both away, we have 6 points, scored 11 (eleven) and conceded 2, both at times when we were well ahead.

I agree that things will get tougher, but looking at other teams performances, we just need to keep going and we'll be fine. Chelsea and Arsenal was entertaining, but both defences are shite. Cech, Terry, lampard, Drogba and Anelka all look passed it, to me. Chelsea are not a threat. Only The Rags are the threat to our title charge.

Liverpool look decent though.

It will be interesting to see how we cope in defence, on easy decision is that Vinnie now gets a rest in at least one PL game but how do we cope without him? and what if another defensive injury (I suppose there is always YaYa)
It may be my last year as a season ticket holder as it just doesn't seem the same with so few English and local players (but I said that last year)

I prefer it the way we had had it. Played relatively easy teams giving the squad time to gel, that gives us the best chance.

The big difficulty is the timing of the Chumps Lg games right before big away games. If we come through all that lot & are still top of the league though, the rags & the rest will be very worried. Perhaps another rule change will be brought in.

Looking at those teams i'm not scared of any of them. We can beat liverpool and chelsea, neither have looked anywhere near us this season and chelsea especially are really struggling in defence.

It's the fucking bullshit international's that will cost us. Forcing us to cram games in every 3 days tiring our players out. Fucking hate international football with a passion. It's a huge waste of fucking time and considering the wages we are paying them we should be able to tell them they are staying put and resting during our busiest periods.

Good point. The general Internationals are ok mind, they've always been part of the mix to deal with, it's the pointless friendlies to pay for the stadium that pish me off. ,Mind all the other top sides have the same prob tbf

Vinnie got a straight red right? so that's a 3 game ban meaning hes going to miss the liverpool game. He's going to be a MASSIVE loss.

You only get a 3 game ban for violent conduct, denying a goal scoring opportunity is just a one game ban.
