I would venture to guess that Mancini doesnt want to risk Lescott getting injured today because Vinnie is suspended
for QPR and if Lescott gets injured before then then our center halves will be Savic and K. Toure..not something Mancini wants.
Biamp wrote:I don't get why Dzeko and Aguero on the bench they have been in a better form than Mario.

Mario has scored 6 in 6 and that wouldve been 6 in 5 but he came on for 20 min in the last game. He's in better form as of late.
As Villareal are badly badly depleted by injuries Mancini wants to rest Dzeko and Aguero while also rewarding Balo's form
and recent proper attitude by giving him his first CL appearance (and start) of the season.

I like this lineup alot.

That's my thoughts re Lescott.I also think Yaya might be given the forward role for this one to link with Mario and Milner might be the 2nd central midfielder, sitting as required.Silva and Nasri to roam around all over the place.

Not yet, saving himself for the Allianz Arena.

So he's not going to score until at least the Champions League QF?

Well thank god we made it that far, nice one.

Or, you know, the Final!

FA Cup final comes up before it, god knows where our goals are coming from in that if Yaya doesn't score.

Good, solid start with a mind to keep possession. Liking what I'm seeing so far. City have reigned in their sometime tendency to go in all guns blazing, but it's not a slow start, either. Looking mature and at home - fingers crossed.

You weren't kidding. They could have really gone to town on City's emergence and how they got to where they are now, sprinkling in various goalfests. They did a bit of that in the opening sequence, then... Well, what was that? Vieira and Keane?? Poor.

Can I really go against type and say that we are going to win this at a canter?

The only thing against us is that we aren't a particularly good defensive side, whatever the league "goals against" stats say.

We've started looking comfortable, and only boredom and complacency seem to be a threat.

Usual shit direct free kick. Think we've scored from one all season, with the rest hitting the wall.
