I would venture to guess that Mancini doesnt want to risk Lescott getting injured today because Vinnie is suspended
for QPR and if Lescott gets injured before then then our center halves will be Savic and K. Toure..not something Mancini wants.

I don't get why Dzeko and Aguero on the bench they have been in a better form than Mario.

Mario has scored 6 in 6 and that wouldve been 6 in 5 but he came on for 20 min in the last game. He's in better form as of late.
As Villareal are badly badly depleted by injuries Mancini wants to rest Dzeko and Aguero while also rewarding Balo's form
and recent proper attitude by giving him his first CL appearance (and start) of the season.

I like this lineup alot.

That's my thoughts re Lescott.I also think Yaya might be given the forward role for this one to link with Mario and Milner might be the 2nd central midfielder,sitting as required.Silva and Nasri to roam around all over the place.

Sorry to bring a personal agenda into this, but Yaya has shown why he plays week in week out and more flashy players like Adam Johnson don't. Johnson might catch the eye, but Yaya knits the team together and can also explode with a well timed goal.
