quality left backs are not easy to come by, and we did pay 18m for kolarov let's not forget. I think we should stick with kolarov and clichey and develop an eventual replacement on our own, though that is also quite difficult. Deffo do not think we should get rid of kolarov.

Just read this and thought you meant Clichy!

Kolarov was pretty poor defensively last season but I think he's looked better this. Clichy is better but Kolarov is good back up, especially against teams who haven't got a quick right winger

Clichy's a far better defender but Kolarov's much better in an attacking sense. I like how Mancini changes them around depending on the opposition.

Clichy is better all round than Kolarov , but having said that Kolarov has improved his all round game and deserves to be in the squad...Clichy to start ahead of him though.

Buying Clichy is probably one of the best things we've done for Kolarov, he's definitely stepped his game up this year. There probably wasn't much incentive last season with Wayne 'Splinters' Bridge as his competition.

Yesterday when he went on, he was in an extremely forward position, almost to the point where he was playing where Mario had been.

So because he doesn't live up to your expectations we should sell him? He's been great and one would think that you'd look to cheer on a fellow Serb

Im entitled to have an opinion, even a wrong one.

being serbian doesnt make him a better player then he is.

nationality is not a relevant category. in any way.

Clichy is for me a wonderful surprise even if Kolarov has involved so highly in his performances than the last season.
No matter who is better, long life to the manager who kept both replacing Wayne "Over Troubled Water" Bridge!
From Torino, Italia to Manchester, Lancashire this City is always our City!

The word 'wonderful', a royal succession cliché and a Simon and Garfunkel reference used as an insult - and all in a two-line post.

This guy needs to be legendised, mates.

What I'm trying to say is that your expectation has nothing to do with his actual performance level. You could expect him to be world class, but he only performs as a very good attacking left back. Because he doesn't live up to your inflated expectation does that make him a failure?

We should judge players on what they produce each game, not what our imagination hopes that they should have produced. You have every right to an opinion, but I also have the ability to offer a counter point when your opinion is somewhat lacking in thought.

If you think we should sell Kolarov based on his actual performances this season, you are deranged. We have invested over a year in teaching him the City way to play and he has the ability to do so. You propose to sell him and spend the time teaching a new player how we play based on what? All the goals we've been letting in? His inability to deliver an inch perfect cross every time or score from every free kick?

Both him and Clichy are playing great and it's madness to talk about selling good performing players when the team is doing so well.

Kolarov is still fairly useless defensively but he's been like an extra forward at the other end & seems to have found the range with his free kicks & crosses. Gives us another option.

Clichy has been as good as anyone anywhere currently playing at left back.

Yes, but I'm trying to figure out why you want to sell him, and it seems you have no real reason besides he doesn't live up to your expectations (whatever that means). If you do, spit it out and articulate yourself besides just throwing out strange statements.

I think Kolarov has been almost as good as Clichy this season and in an attacking sense when we want the fullbacks bombing forward, Kolarov is the best of all our fullbacks.
