According to an irish pundit and former league of ireland manager, Pat dolan(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pat_Dolan) Suarez is better than Messi, the mind boggles!!!

Messi best player I have ever seen, is he the greatest ever?
derby day the scores were level,

The best we can do is to fully appreciate Messi's greatness in the game he graces NOW - while recalling greats of the past but realising that they were playing, essentially, a different game.

The counter argument is Messi is up against unbelievable athletes from all over the world(places that didnt produce footballers back then) who have the best nutrition fitness build etc etc yet still makes them look like schoolboys...

He seems to have very little else to his game, though, judging from that video. Didn't see him track back once.

Next.

This ^^^^

Most of the players Best played against were part time alcoholics and probably had a roast every night! Even someone as potentially portly as Richard Dunne is still probably ten times the athlete that most were back then.

Messi is up there with Pele and Maradona. Impossible to compare, I know, but he is. You can just tell.

As good as Messi is, I'd still rather the 2003-06 Ronaldinho. That version of the buck-toothed fatty is the most impressive attacking footballer I've ever seen.

Messi for Messi of the Year.

That's how good he is.

I really hope we draw them in the next round of the CL for some twisted reason that i can't explain.

Wow, the Argentina national team must be really rubbish then.

These were my favourites too!

How many games did it take him to notch up 202 goals btw?

Noticed Tranny has scored 100 in 105 games for Real which is almost as good as our strikers!

It's amazing how many of Messi's goals come from his perfect delicate chips which he makes look sooooooooooo easy.

Definitely the best player I've ever seen. Zidane was still my favourite though he, just had something about him.
