Any player who doesn't want to stay at the club can go as far as I am concerned. If this is true, selling him will be the 100% right move, as CityGer said earlier.

I hope it's wrong as well as so often it is on there but it worries me.It was added that a replacement has been lined up already. Those pictures at the swamp as Carl said were not comforting. Nothing has been apparent at training but his absences are notable and I don't buy the not fit enough argument.

His current contract takes him to 2013 so I find it very hard to believe that the club would punish him in any way for not having signed a new a new one yet.

Punish? If he refuses to sign a new contract/extension, the club will want to sell him in the next 2 windows so he doesn't walk for nothing (or peanuts in Jan 2013).

We are playing amazing football without him I don't think we are missing him enough for it to be a concern.Maybe we would be a bit tighter with him playing but I think we are doing very well without him so no big loss for me.

Absolutely.

We are offering him chance to be part of the team aiming for top of the world football and domination during rest of his career. We are also offering him tons of money. If he is looking for tons of money+some extra+ another villa for Kia then he can leave as far as I'm concerned.

Generally, people will recognize now that we are the real deal now. If they want to be part of what we are doing and are good enough, if not then that's their loss.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

We are a much better side with DeJong in the line up.

De Jong has looked a bit off the pace to me, in most games he has played. Whether there is also a problem in the background I don't know but he wouldn't get in my team ahead of Barry, Yaya or Milner on footballing merit at he moment; they have all been much better than him. I would try to get him sharper, then unleash him more regularly.

It's a long season. Baconface often uses players differently in the 2nd half. Bob may be doing the same.

Im not convinced on that.

With the current form of Barry, Milner and Yaya I'd argue the opposite.

I'm not trying to talk him down and I do value what he has contributed but I don't think he's as important as some would make out.

Let's hope he signs and we can put this to bed but if it means dealing with Kia or if we suspect Kia is advising Nige then it's bye bye from me.

We're sure gonna need him when Yaya is out at the African Cup of Nations.

I think itll be a huge mistake if we sell NDJ...but i guess thats just me.

The stats seem to back this up;

With Nige
Played 5, Won 5
Scored 18 (average of 3.6 per game)
Conceded 4 (average 0.8 per game)

Without Nige
Played 12, Won 9, Drawn 1, Lost 1
Scored 34 (average of 2.83 per game)
Conceded 12 (average of 1 per game)

Should have played in Germany, not sure what Mancini knows that I don't...and I am assuming it's a fucking shedload, but de Jong against one of the best sides in Europe on their ground seems like a no-brainer to me.

Look at it like this Tevez, has Kia the bollocks on the case, He calls John Williams, NJD wants to get a feel for the clubs thoughts on the contract. Williams, advises we will advise you when we want to sit down. NJD becomes part of the Tevez KJ Game. Love NJD but appointing the agent has to be some sort of piss take and nobody at City is on one hand wanting to be at war then on the other talking about contracts with the twat they hate to deal with and want nothing to do with.

That could be down to a number of factors. Doesn't even take into account, the oppostion etc.
He's a great player but he really needs to improve his offensive game to challenge Yaya, Barry or Milner for a spot.

I was thinking similar, contract-wise, although he needs to bring Nige back for the Newcastle game to ensure he's match-fit for the Napoli game because we need the defensive solidity only he can provide there, and we can't afford another slip-up of the kind which he contributed to for Villareal's lead goal at Etihad

Agreed NDJ and Yaya is the DFM pair that should play vs. Napoli (and Bayern for that matter)

We need to rid that turd of any involvement in City and id even go as far as sacrificing Nige to do it. He's been vital for us but there are other players out there who are capable of filling his shoes. De Rossi would be an upgrade imo.

My preference is for this to be sorted and for him to stay but if that means backing down in our stance on Kia then he can leave.

I fully agree. I hope the club turns their back on Kia and everything involving him. Turn their back without looking back.
I don't see De Rossi replacing. I see a young talented footballer, that really wants to play for Man City, and who doesn't have a evil 'advisor'. Let's move to another level.

If it's true that Nige will not sign a new contract (obviously down to a money issue unless he has been lined up by Barca, Real et al) then this could be the 2nd serious mistake Kia has made recently.

I don't think we are not playing him for that reason though, it's just because we've been playing so well without him. How do you drop a player (excluding Yaya who I think has it in his contract) when they are bringing home the corn?

He has no problem rotating the fullbacks, why would the midfield be exempt?

Nigel is the best in the world at playing that defensive screen in midfield imo. It's true he doesn't offer as much ability in an attacking sense but I think he improved drastically in this part of his game last season. I agree that he hasn't looked up to speed in the few games we've seen him play this season. Perhaps just needs a run of games to find that sharpness again to get him back playing like he was last season. What I am sure of is that he willbe vitally important for some high pressure games this season.

As you can probably tell Nigel is one of my favourite players in the current squad and it sickens me that there's an apparent link between him and Kia snake bastard. Hopefully someone can bend his ear to put him straight about that scumbag, he signs his new deal and we all live happily ever after.

Ted watchin the same game as me as usual. Nigel was important when we were a defensive team who were easily intimidated. His passing isn't good enough for this team, but more important he is off the pace by 2 yards as he was when he first came. When he's out of form like this he cant even do the screening job effectively. That said there must be something going on because he would have made a lot more sense as a sub than Johnno on Saturday. and yes , we will need another strong midfielder when Ya Ya goes to Africa. Moreover players often come back from that unfit and uninterested. The main problem with Nige is he wont stand too many games out of the side, he let Hughes know and now he's with the ultimate twat.I think his mug at the swamp said he may well be toast.i'll be very disappointed.
