I am edging on the side of caution and think we will win the fookin lot!!!

FA Cup retained and think the league will go to the wire, that other team always come good in second half of the season and that will be a major test of our mentality! Chumps I reckon we will get through and go out in quarters or semi, to be honet I would be chuffed with the semi! Fuck the CC micky mouse cup, let Arse have it!
I haven't a fecking clue what I'm doing! Gillie come back man I want my sig back. As the Photobucket thingy gone?

It would be fucking sweet to retain the cup.

Of course, we'll probably draw away at Stamford Bridge, Emirates, Anfield, Goodison until we lose one of them.

If we do end up in the UEFA cup, then I fancy us to win it.

we would prollee be odds-on to win it, but i'm not sure i'd give a fucl to be honest. Under Frank, and prior, i'd not have been so arrogant, and a trophy's a trophy, but honestly it would be a bit of a letdown unless it were paired with some domestic silverware. i'm sure i'd change my tune if we were in the final and watching the team lift a pot, etc but on paper it's underwhelming.

Back OT, i think we can win the FA Cup and the League....nothing easy between now and then of course but it might depend on us getting knocked out of CL to achieve those two goals.

I can also see us winning sweet fuckall if we go deep in every competition. How would folks feel about 2nd in the league, FA Cup final loss, and a CL semi-final loss? would have been the stuff of dreams a few seasons ago, but would probably make most bitch to high heaven. I might not be so arsed if we are that competitive in everything that matters.

I think it would be a different matter playing in the UEFA now though, with the squad we've got now, exporting this kind of fantastic football around Europe, rather than the bunch of geriatric impersonators playing the dullest shite known to man we had to put up with last season. There's boring/wheezing your way through Europe & there's winning it in style.

Winning it in style would be the next best thing to the Chump's Lg imo & more fun than the FA or League cups.

Well said Jim. I've only voted for the FA Cup too as the form of our quieter neighbours in the second half of the season in the league could well prove too much, though we couldn't have had a more impressive start to the season. IF we did get past the Arse in the quarter finals then we'd have a real chance in the Carling.

As for the Champions League, I honestly don't see us getting out of the group stage, but I'd be delighted to be proved wrong!

We will win the league at a canter.
And I bet Arsenal are more worried than us about the Carling Cup draw.

There is a difference between being confident and being arrogant and if you lot can't at the very least have the confidence to believe we are walking away from this season with silverware, then I don't know what fucking hope there is for you.

Best City side I have ever seen and if you believe Mike Summerbee, best side EVER.

It's not that..I just can't even think about it for fear I'll jinx it

Classic examples

1) Keegans 'Id love it' rant

2) Chelseas brilliant start last year

Too many people thinking it's done and dusted after 11 games

I really believe that we will win the League this year. I think we can get even better and I don't see another team capable of challenging the level we are going to.

League Cup: not so confident, away to Arsenal so soon after playing Liverpool could be too big an ask. Beat Arsenal though and I really think we'll win it. I don't think anyone feels confident about out-scoring us over two legs.

FA Cup: who the hell knows we've not even had round 1 yet. One way or another we'll still be in Europe so, at least in the early stages, the Cup would be 3rd priority.

CL/ Europa League: to progress in the CL we need to get someting in Naples. Lets be honest, a win there would rank as one of the best results in our history. If we do end up in the Europa let's win the thing. It would be a big statement and would up our quoitient so we don't get stuck in another group of death.

Prem: we aren't even a third of the way through the season and events can make idiots of us all, but so far we are storming the league. Five points in the lead and a stellar goal difference means that for the rags to overtake us they'd have to win two more games than us, and we have at least 9 points on the rest. On paper the first half of the season looks the toughest, away to Chelsea, Spurs, Liverpool, and the rags - so far so good. Get to the turn of the year with the same advantage and the rest will be struggling to keep up.

To my mind, the absolute minimum would be finishing third so we can go straight into the CL group stage again. If that was all we did I'd be disappointed. A top three finish plus a cup (or two) would be pretty good and it's important to keep getting trophies, winning the Prem - well I'm going all misty eyed just thinking about it.

No, arrogance is tginking that it all belongs to you as of right.

"The titles coming home"

"Wembley is our second home ground"

And the one that always makes me chuckle "So what if we don't win the Prem/CL (or whatever) we're still the best team".

So more people currently think we're going to win the Chumps League than those that think we are going to win nuffink.

Interesting.

It's the ones who think we're going to win fuck all who interest me! I mean ok, that could easily happen in football but fuckinghell!! If you've got no optimism we may win a trophy when we're top of the league, unbeaten, having beat the champions 6-1 away from home, averaging 3 goals per game & current FA Cup holders; jeesus!

That's what worries me Ruxpin...the fact that people seem to be taking it for granted that we will win some silverware this year

I'm generally an optimist...but even i'm struggling with the wave of belief built on 11 games

right now I am cautiously optimistic about the league, I think we have a right to think about 2nd as minimum in the league and I believe we could win it. Both cups are up for grabs ... we beat united en route to winning the FA Cup ... who do we have ot be scared of? we have the ability to beat anyone on our day and at the moment we have momentum and self belief. And that is why the upcoming ACoN is going to be a very important time for us. We need to cope without having Yaya in the side (and kolo ... though he hasn't played at all). It tests our best 11 and our depth and while we won't be as hard hit as chelsea ... Yaya has been integral to our side. The way we deal with the winter period will be a huge indicator of how we are going to end the season. If we make it through winter still winning and playing the way we play, I believe we can walk the league. As for the cups, like I said, on our day we can beat anyone ... but there are other teams who can say the same thing ... chelsea, arsenal, united. Cup comps are much different and on any given sunday, blah blah blah.

I think we have the strength in depth to challenge for the Prem, if we are still in the top three in the new year why not?

Champs League is too much for this side now, there are teams far more experienced who would roll us over at the back.

FA Cup would be fantastic but rarely do teams win it twice in a row and the rigged draws rarely go in our favour.

I would love to win the League Cup and do the double. I think this is most likely and achievable.
