I thought it was very respectful of wes brown not to celebrate the goal

The comment about silva being the best player in the premier league didn't go down well with old big ears. His fucking face, he looked like hansen just wiped his knobcheese on his top lip

And to go with the dumbfounded look "better than rooney?". Cunts.

How the fuck is Wooney the best player in the league even if we ignore every City player?

He's only dropped into midfield so he can start practicing for his totally undeserved POTY gong when he's 35.

Nah, you are confusing WW2 with the Afgahinstan/Iraq conflicts. Bobby Charlton was the fella that won WW2

When you fast forward saturday's motd through the united game. The part with fergie on the bench, chewing gum, makes him look like a fat hamster chewing nuts quickly

They pay Alan Hansen 40k PER WEEK for that bollocks. That's one persons licence fee for the next 275 years. And he's shit.

In the old days, they used to get different people in to discuss the games week by week rather than the same group saying the same things. Not only that but TV football panels were made up of characters, who sometimes used to properly argue with each other, not just pretend stuff. Genuine discussion/argument & some good wind ups.

It's amazing to think that Jimmy Hill actually had a better programme than these twerps have now.

That's spot on. It would be marvellous to see what big Mal & Cloughie would make of Shearer & Co.

Was listening to a radio 5 programme with David Pleat and Matin Keown yesterday and it was brilliant, everything that MOTD isn't. Keown was explaining how the old arsenal defence used to work and the problem with the new one where they push up but don't understand when to drop off. He and Pleat were getting deeply into tactics and giving the sort of insight that only ex-pros can.

Why we therefore have to put up with banal nonsense from the likes of Shearer on MOTD I don't know. Even if the main programme was just highlights, they could use the red button for more on depth discussion, as they now do for formula one.
