Is there irrefutable evidence that De Jong receives "advice" from Kia?

I've seen a number of allegations across a number of City boards that this association exists but have never seen/read anything concrete.

The image of Buster Phillips (shudder) should trot across the thread about here.

There are no guarantees but judging by the clues Mark has dropped, I think this lad's got a bit better chance than Buster Phillips tbf.

Having started the post, I would now add a comment from the OS that "if fit, Nigel de Jong won’t have quite as far to travel as Holland play host to Switzerland and then travel a short distance to Germany"
Perhaps we were speculating incorrectly as maybe he was injured whilst playing against Villareal

I should have known, the only way he's worth £100M is if we sell him, and "we're City, we buy who we want."

No not for me. I think he will stay and sign a new contract - he would be mad not to.

Also he is one of Mancini's most trusted players and I honestly think a lack of games is mainly due to his injury at start of season - he was out for 5-6 weeks till end of September. To be fair Barry has been excellent this season but De Jong still is the best holding midfielder in the world and for anyone to suggest we don't need him, should remember he is only 25/26, both Yaya and Barry are several years older.

Theyre gonna try really hard to partner him with Alonso but I think he will stay with us at this point...next summer may be different but as of now i think he'll stay.

he isn't going anywhere. Plenty of time left to negotiate the contract. The fans love him and I can never see him putting in a transfer request. If reports are true that hes on 55,000/year, double his wages and be done with it.

having said that, it would be funny to see him playing alongside someone he karate kicked in a WC final.

I don't think he'll have seen much in that particular game that will have impressed him.
