Two moments of brilliance not preserved ..

Postby BobbyJ1956 » Fri Nov 11, 2011 11:06 pm

If I remember these right:
1. from the derby - MIcah Richards won the ball near his own penalty area with a real good tackle and went on a great surging run upfield, then put in a shot from distance that just missed.
2. Balotelli at QPR - saw the keeper off his line and tried a Beckham-like lob from out on the touchline on half way that went over the bar.
Neither went in, either one could have been goal of the season if it had, but it's a shame these two magic moments ended up cut from the replays and highlights i've seen. Anyone else struck by them, anyone know where to find them again?

To be fair both times they shouldve held the ball up or taken it to the corner. I'd have done the same in their shoes though so I'll let them off.

Your right leg I like; I've got nothing against your right leg. The trouble is neither have you.

a small edit to save your blushes
Never criticise a man until you've walked a mile in his shoes.
That way when you do criticise him you'll be a mile away.
And you'll have his shoes.

Apart from the fact that mario should have taken the ball to the corner the attampt was so waaaay off target it can hardly be called a moment of brilliance can it? Typical of the player to go for it but the execution was more Sunday league than brilliance.
