Villa over-rated and over the hill at 29? I've heard it all now.

The only reason we wouldn't/perhaps shouldn't sign him is if we feel we don't need another striker in that top class bracket. Tevez aside, we have three of the best forwards in Europe with Kun, Mario and Edin, but Villa is better than the lot of them.

21 goals in 45 games for the best club side in the world, 108 in 166 for Valencia and 50 in 81 for the best national side in the world. Overrated? No. Better than Mario and Dzeko? Yes.

Age, cost and FFP are valid reasons to be against the rumour, but in no way is he overrated. One of the very best forwards in the game at the minute, and he has been for years.

yea ok, my point is that age is against him, considering time to settle etc....and £30+m for him? at 30 years old, i am not so sure, if he was younger, well yes.
But either way its probably all just rumors and nothing else.

Villa's goals have come with him having to be shoe horned into a formation built around Messi, it's worth pointing out.

He's not at all overrated and deserves all the plaudits that come his way. He would walk into any side in the prem

Fantastic player but too much of a risk when you look at the time it may take him to adjust (if at all), his age, and the price-tag they'll throw on him, especially knowing El City are in the market.

We could do better.

He's 29 and the best striker in the world, how exactly do we do better than him?
