Darren Gough is on Talksport & agrees with everything I've said.

That scares the living shit out of me.

And he was talking absolute bollox! At one point a caller asked what was the diference between when he, and the England team, decided to defend (something about 2 an over) on one of the Test tours where they drew 4 and won 1. Goughies reply was that Australia had players like Warne who were basically better technically than the England team so the end justified the means. Strangely, no-one pointed out the irony of his statement.

He also said that because James Milner (who he knows to be on £150,000 a week!) was on a greater salary than Iniesta et al then he is obviously a better player. Now if that's not bollox then I don't know what is. The bloke talks absolute bollox most of the time and this was no exception. I don't like Durham but at least he seems to talk sense at times, Gough is just the stooge.

PS. In no way does this infer you, like Gough, are talking Bollox ;-)

England are average. Ireland are average. The difference? Ireland know their limitations and play within them...England lurch from one extreme to another...they are as near to a bi-polar football team as you can get.

As it says Ted, I can't stand Durham as an individual but when he's not playing the prick he actually comes out with some good points ................ just like you ;-)

I think the criticisms on Capello are harsh, he just simply doesn't have the quality of players Spain do. If we tried to take spain on at their own game it would of been a rugby score.

Any complaints today? I didn't get to see the game so a truthful account would be appreciated.

Only seen 'highlights'. Just imagine a typical England game against a desperately poor side; no problems at the back, hardly any quality whatsoever going forward, scrappy goal, couple of dreadful misses etc , this time with Jones, Downing & Rodwell being hugely overrated as opposed to Parker, Cleverley, Walcott etc etc. This was the usual uninspiring but at least trying England rather than the desperate Stoke version which played v Spain. Played in a half full stdium with no atmosphere.

Thank Christ it's all over for a while.

I see Spain managed to pull back 2 late goals v the might of Costa Rica.

International friendlies are a waste of fucking time.
