It actually says he's not PHYSICALLY fit to return

We need to come up with an accountant's certificate saying he's not fit to have his wages paid.

Dangerous road to go down as it must involve a 2nd opinion etc as (surely?) it's a legal minefield. Would he have been physically ok now if he hadn't gone to Argentina ? In which case we surely don't owe him any wages. There could be insurance issues etc etc & if he trys to claim he wants paying, he could be attempting to defraud City out of hundreds of thousands of quid.

The bloke will end up in jail if he's not careful.

There will be plenty of volunteers to act as character witnesses. I'd accept that to know he didn't get his own way and that his agent doesn't get a penny.

What truth in it I'm not sure. He seems to try and spread his tentacles wherever he can, for a percentage.

If he's not registered how does he have an interest in so many players? And why don't FIFA do something about it? Think I've just answered my own question.

I don't know if that was joke or not but I honestly see this going down the retirement route. Obviously with him returning at some stage.

I wonder where we would stand if he packed in football tomorrow. Obviously we would stop paying him immediately but would we be entitled to any other form of compensation?

I wasn't joking, no. I don't know what he would have to do to prove he was suffering from mental problems but if half the pubs in England on a Monday morning full of people jollying it up whilst claiming disability benefit for mental issues are anything to go by; not fucking much.

He's off to a pretty convincing start & seems like a nutter in my book. Where that puts us I don't know. I assume we are insured.

If he retired there would have to be some sort of FIFA sanction or existing rule to prevent him from playing professional football again. He might still be open to be sued by us though I'm not sure we would.

This saga is all of Tevez's creation he never wanted to come back from last season, he has never dealt with returning, for me he is sick and needs some form of help, I have no sympathy with his behaviour he is a disgrace, I am not surprised or shocked at the mess this was always on the cards I have said this in other topics fro 6 months. Mancini, may well have dabbled withdeay in day out rising to the bait, Carlos now gets no rise out of teh manager and has flipped, him coming back will be only to cause more shit, not as though he wants to fight for a place in the team is it. Good riddance.

From the MuEN

Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez has chosen to remain in Argentina and not attend a meeting with the club on Monday - but discussions have taken place between the two parties.

The 27-year-old had been requested to return to England by City after he flew home to visit his family last week, apparently without permission from his employers.

However, Tevez has remained in South America while discussions take place between his advisors and the club.

"Over the weekend there have been a series of meetings and conference calls," Tevez's representative said.

"Carlos is still in Argentina, however, both sides are kind of in agreement that they want a resolution as quickly and as smoothly as possible.

"Discussions will probably be ongoing for the foreseeable future."

Tevez could be hit with a disciplinary charge by City as his unauthorised absence continues.

Blues boss Roberto Mancini was in Abu Dhabi at the weekend to discuss the future of the wayward star with owner Sheikh Mansour and chairman Khaldoon al Mubarak – and to ponder possible replacements in January.

City’s lawyers have been looking at the case and the club is expected to hit the striker with an initial £594,000 fine – just a week after Tevez accepted a £396,000 punishment for refusing to warm up at Bayern Munich in September.

But City have also looked at the possibility of terminating Tevez’s contract and suing him for compensation, and are thinking of asking FIFA to waive their “sporting just cause” rule which would normally allow the player to walk away if he plays less than ten per cent of first-team games.

City argue Tevez has placed himself outside selection by his actions, and FIFA have already shown some sympathy for the club’s case.

As its almost the middle of November now and the matter has not reached any resolution yet and sofar all we have done is fine him two weeks wages it seems to me the fucker has won. This latest escapade with the Drs.note makes him a bit bullet proof, the fact he should not have been there it is of little consequence.I think we should look at ways of cutting our loses as quickly as we can but if we want to make sure he never plays again then carry on down the road we are on I suppose over the long game that is the only way to gain victory for us.

He hasn't got a chance of claiming sporting just cause - it's his own fault he has been unfit for most of the season and therefore unavailable for selection.

Herman and kj plain and simple think there's a way round everything you just have to do it in the correct manor/order. City need to stamp this out ASAP or we will have other players thinking they can do what the hell they like.

The alleged Doctor's note, if true, does not make him bullet proof believe me.

As things stood, we were not getting many takers for our £40 mil fee, so there was a prospect of paying an unsettled Tevez or Transferring him for less, whilst paying his wages in the meantime. Now, he's lost his loyalty bonus, so we can knock that off the fee, if he's not back very very soon, I'll be surprised if he gets paid again between now & January plus also this must surely put his image rights into question.

He has opened up a huge range of possibilities for City & is a fucking moron.

If he retires, we do lose the fee but we save on all of his wages for the next few years.
