Saturday's ref

Postby shortagain » Mon Nov 14, 2011 3:45 pm

Not long now before proper football is back with us I hate these international breaks. Anyway, Chris Foy in charge on Saturday, one of the more experienced ref's for our top of the table clash

No fouls given at all Saturday then.

I don't think it matters anymore who the ref is. The ref can't penalise City for playing great, clean football. Which for the majority of games we have done. I can't recall one foul city players have made this season so far, that was vindictive or
dangerous. I can however recall a couple of refs ( particularly the Bolton and Everton games ) stopppin and starting the game , appearing to break up City's counter attacks.

If we stick to the football, we will not have any ref problems.

The only game that stood out for me as a ref shitfest was Wolves.

QPR played really well, tight pitch and closed us down well. No problems with the ref there, can't really remember the ref in the Everton game, but we won that match at a canter so can't have been a huge deal. I am still fuming over the wolves game and the fact that nothing got done about it.

THIS.

Even after a loss, i usually calm down after an hour or two of bitching and moaning. But we beat Wolves, and i STILL came away raging about it. It was like a big practical joke. That guy should be sacked.

I think they get paid about 60k a year to do that. Personally i wouldnt mind paying them 5 times that much to get the standard how it should be.

anyway were gonna have to watch it on saturday, newcastle are gonna attack us,
pardew as just been on talksport, reckon that teams who have had a go have done quite well
at the ethiad stadium. not picked up at all by brazil or irani.
swansea 4-0
wigan 3-0
villa 4-1
wolves 3-1 with 10 men and a biased ref.
everton 2-0 the one team who parked the bus.

I wasn't overjoyed at the ref in the charity shield, I have to say.

I think the only way to get better refs is to open up for "trading" of refs like players. Meaning the FA can hire refs from other countries.
