Luis Suarez and Liverpool away

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Luis Suarez and Liverpool away

Postby Jon London » Wed Nov 16, 2011 7:32 pm

Is there a chance now that the FA intend to charge Suarez that he will miss the match v. City? Or will Liverpool appeal to ensure he misses less important games? Not much on the FA website apart from the mention of the charge.

If he does get a ban (and I think he will) Liverpool will definitely appeal against it so he doesn't miss any crucial games.

If he's found guilty I think he will miss some important games as it'll surely be more than a 3 game ban. Unless he appeals to FIFA and explains it was said on the pitch and is therefore ok.

Don't know about a ban but he's likely to get a penalty.

If he does play, i wont be that botherd. If sure with Yaya, Micah and Mario giving him the evil eyes down the tunnell he might be a little quieter than usual! Then again according to Sepp Blatter it can all be sorted with a handshake at the end of the game! I think it could be sorted out after the match easily enough, but in the carpark! LOL

And I. :)

Although I cant say i've completely shook the 'old mentality' yet. I detest Suarez more than any other non-rag player in the prem...probably.

ps. Surely he'll get a ban. Gross Misconduct?

For them to charge him they must have some pretty hard evidence to back it up. If Liverpool are thinking about appealing the ban then the FA might have a little word in their ear to tell them if they do he'll get more games based upon their 'evidence'. I don't think it will be in their best interest to appeal, just because he might miss the match against City.

I'm quite shocked about it really. I thought they'd do the usual, let it die down and then brush it under the carpet. If they've got the evidence the prove he did it then fair play. I think Terry is in for a long ban as well, as you've actually got the video footage of it.

Totally agree. I don't think anyone is as good as they think they are.

Are the club issuing a security briefing for this game?

On the will he / won't he appeal to make sure he's available against us argument, I'm going to get a little arrogant.

Ok Liverpool have a better chance of getting something out of that one game against City if he is on the pitch then if he's suspended.
However the chances of them getting something (based on our current results and form) is low.
If he appeals and gets 1 extra match ban, that's 2 matches Liverpool have a better chance of getting a result.

Is it not like teh Wolves / Blackpool issues of late, why pick your best team if you're going to get beat, save your better players for a game they might be able to win for you.

I'm not saying Liverpool don't have a chance, personally I can see it being them ending our current run, depends on how both teams play on the day. However if there is a possibility of an extended ban, surely Suarez would be better off missing against us, not getting an extra game, and playing against another team which he could be the key factor in winning?

They are not capable of playing football and beating us. The only way they are going to beat us (with or without that buck-toothed, diving, cheating little shit) is if they kick us off the park and are allowed by the referee, whoever he may be, to get away with it. Not beyond the realms of possibility unfortunately.
