Indeed he is. For some reason he has a deep hatred of us which comes across in each and every City game he commentates on.

i think he's got issues. he doesn't like people who still play football. or their managers.

I remember Desmond Lynam though. He was good on Grandstand, though not patch on Frank Bough. Then again, who is?

Gerald Sinstadt.

Did all the local games on Granada & was charged with gross indecency at a porn cinema (amazing considering he looks so unlike a pervert) & as Tokyo said, was responsible for the "..and Dennis has done it.." on that fateful day.

If you're going to be a proper miserable old bastard on here you need to really brush up on things like this.

Lets hope he falls out with ITV;

TV presenter Adrian Chiles has revealed his anger at the news that he and Daybreak co-host Christine Bleakley have been axed from the ITV show.

Rumours of a major revamp began two weeks ago but yesterday a report suggested the early morning hosts had been informed of their fate.

Chiles told The People newspaper that he was "p***** off" that the news had apparently been leaked.

"I'm angry, upset and acutely embarrassed," he is quoted as saying. "Myself and Christine were told we would be going in the New Year but we were assured we could go with our dignity intact.

"That's obviously not happened. We were enjoying the show and we thought things were going well. We didn't want to go."

The 44-year-old presenter claimed the sacking was "a bolt out of the blue" and was a "big blow" to both his and Bleakley's careers.

He added, "Dark forces have leaked it for their own ends and I am mightily unhappy about it."

Following yesterday's Daily Mirror headline, Christine Bleakley simply tweeted, "Morning, what a lovely headline to wake up to. My sarcasm comes across in this tweet I hope x."

Chiles remains the presenter of ITV1's football coverage as well as That Sunday Night Show, while Christine was announced this week as Holly Willoughby's Dancing on Ice replacement.

Just so long as he doesn't find his way onto Sky, can't he retire - or switch to light entertainment or something?

It makes me feel physically sick to think he is getting a million a year to talk so much fucking shite, I mute the TV and put GMR on when I can but it doesnt stop me wanting to throw my foot through my screen everytime I see his fucking annoying face, I wish ITV would bin him off like his wife did.

I will no longer be watching ITV for anything, and if City are on ITV and I cannot go I will now find a foreign stream.

I do not know about that one

Andy Townshend isn't likely to win any awards for punditry either...

Chiles looks like he's been replaced with a spitting image puppet.

Be afraid - be very afraid. The Chiles will be umming and erring his way through the introduction to our game tomorrow.

I've been out of the country for more than 5 years now (living in Tokyo too!), but when Chiles first appeared on TV I remember thinking that he was about the least interesting and least charismatic guy I'd ever seen. He speaks slow, has nothing good to say, and the few jokes he does make are never funny at all.

So I've been consistently amazed as he seemed to get promoted over and over again to host more and more things. I never saw Daybreak so have no idea what it was like, but I can't for a minute imagine it was actually any good. Chiles is the last guy I'd want to be listening to first thing in the morning.

Adrian Chiles on Daybreak was the chief reason behind me going to work earlier every day. Can't stand the guy, I've never known anyone who can consistently bore people to tears without even finishing a sentence.

I thought he was very good on MOTD2, his sarcastic style suited the tone of the show really well.

Just doesn't seem cut out to be the anchor on a main football show
