Perhaps he's going to be friendly but superstitious from now on ? Probably just tune people in if he thinks they're jinxing him, but apologise afterwards & give a cheery wave as he departs the playing area.

Hopefully he's been told he can change Italian opinion if he just sticks to playing football. One or two more games and they will be (even more) in love with him.

I'm feeling very smug about my 2010-11 away strip Balotelli shirt, now!

I just wish the Telli' would go mental when he scored goals....the reaction after the PK against Castle was funny, but a bit more of the same whenever he scores. As much of an ass Tevez is, he gave 100% on the field and when he scored he made you feel at home watching on the tube that YOU scored. I like that when the moment calls for it.

I can't wait for the day he celebrates but it seems he's waiting for the right moment...whatever the fuck that might be???

Even his first goal for Italy (which was a beaut) came with no celebration. Perhaps the winning goal tonight will warrant one? As long as he's doing the business and playing the way he is then I can live with him never celebrating again.

Police swoop on home of Mario Balotelli only to discover that a suspected 'burglar' is the footballer himself
Manchester City striker was returning to fire-damaged home to collect electrical goods
Neighbours didn't recognise the controversial star and called the police thinking his home was being burgled

Image
Controversial: Mario Balotelli with girlfriend Raffaella Fico. Police officers were called to the Manchester City striker's home after neighbours mistook him for a burglar
Police officers who rushed to the home of footballer Mario Balotelli following reports that his luxurious pad was being ransacked
were amazed to discover that the 'burglar' was the star himself.
The 21-year-old Italian had returned to his £3million home with a friend to collect electrical goods following a blaze there last month.
Friends of the striker had set off fireworks in the bathroom of his rented home in Mottram St Andrew, Cheshire, and since then he has been living away.
However, on returning to his luxury property recently neighbours failed to recognise the Manchester City striker and called the police, thinking that the home was being burgled.
A source told The Sun: 'The report was of two men running down a road carrying stuff and loading up a 4x4.'
The blaze wrecked the first floor bathroom and a room directly below at the property in Manchester's stockbroker belt.

The star and his friends escaped unhurt after fleeing the fire at 1am, just 36 hours before Balotelli and his team-mates faced their most important game of the season - against Manchester United at Old Trafford.
Ten firefighters tackled the blaze at the house, which was described as ‘a substantial fire’.
The property sustained serious fire and smoke damage.
Balotelli was reported to have told club officials that he and four friends had been letting off fireworks through an open window at the house,
which had been advertised for rent at £7,500 a month.
Bathroom towels were set on fire and the flames spread but Balotelli has insisted that he did not cause the blaze and that the offending firework was let off by his friends.

No quotes from named individual. Likelihood of bollox very high.

Read the article on the Purely Man City blog for the unbelievable way the press behave when they can't hack a story from your phone

Come on he was sent off for being Mario Balotelli just look at Suarez today and what he got away with
It may be my last year as a season ticket holder as it just doesn't seem the same with so few English and local players (but I said that last year)

Over reaction of the day nominee...

He gets booked for tracking back and for a foul that even you say wasn't worthy of a yellow yet we should get rid.
