Any volunteers to do a bucket collection at Newcastle

Postby Patrick » Sun Nov 13, 2011 9:13 pm

The response to Bingos shit situation has already been amazing, not just here, but also on Bluemoon and Bluewatch, where they have also been donating to the fund.

On Bluewatch they have a similar situation with one of their founders Rozzi, who has cancer in his kidneys

They have some great fund raising ideas and are doing a brilliant job raising some much needed money for Rozzi ad his family

They are organising a bucket collection before the Newcastle game next Saturday and in a fantastic demonstration of the blue brotherhood, they have offered to share the collection 50/50 with Danny if we can get some people to help out.

So we need is a bunch of volunteers who can give up a wee it of time before the game. I know it's a big ask, but situations like Danny's and Rozzis need big asks......

If anyone is interested, can they pop their names below and I will find out what we need to do

This way of collecting makes shed loads of money - I know many of you have already donated money - this is just donating some time before the game - surely we have loads of people going to the game who could help out for a short while?

Basically you meet up at the B in the Bang and then you get paired off and sent to a part of the staium with a bucket and a tshirt - collect as much as you can before rendezvousing again to collect up the cash - then you carry on and watch the game.

Brilliant - I have just heard from the organisers of the bucket collection at bluewatch - they managed to raise shed loads at the villa game - 14 people collecting before and after the game - certainly no reason why some of the collecting cant be done at the townley!

what time we need to be at the B of the Bang? Will they have enough buckets?
PM me the password and I'll be there with a rolled up Sporting Life and smoking a cheroot :)

I might be up for a bit of this Patrick as I'll probably only be able to donate a tenner to Danny's fund due to my own current financial situation. What time are the collections due to start and will someone be taking it off the collector before the game starts?

Patrick. I can't do this for obvious reasons but I want to send something over. Unfortunately I cannot do paypal from Egypt....(strange but true) and easiest thing will be just to do a UK-UK bank transfer. Is there a UK account sat under the paypal? If so do you think you could PM me the details and I'll send something over today.

ALSO...Danny....if you read this. Can you PM me as have something else to send you (no, it's not a specially modified "scar" fez before you ask ;-).....hope you're chipper mate and really hope to catch up with you and the rest over xmas).

Cheers

Thats Fantastic!

The lads are meeting up at 1 pm at the B in the Bang - i will also get a telephone number when I have the blokes permission

[/size]Right you can contact Bazzor on his mobile - 079 1551 4242 - if it goes to answer machine dont leave a message just send a text

2 things though - first £10 is very very generous and second - your time doing this will allow us to double the fund - its a massive contribution! Thank you

Just signed up to forum and been involved in the Rozzie appeal from the beginning as I am a MOD on BW (also post on BM)

Thanks to all those involved in all the collections and anyone who has helped in anyway to try and make these lads lives a little easier for them and their families - makes you proud to be a blue and show we are still a family club
