Super Jaw I assume.

Though I don't think you're being thick, it's just a bad nickname.

Glad you asked as I couldn't work it out. Think it might have been a typo and should have been SN.

In which case got to disagree. Mine would be Clichy, Micah or Milner with Milner probably getting it.

Spot on, Capello chooses right backs, not an extra winger/striker?

Please tell me why Johnson's there then?

Johnson isnt good enough, and isnt as good as Richards but his positioning is better. I am not saying I agree with Capellos choice, but I understand it. The national squad dont have the quality of players to cover up for Richards when he goes walkabout.

I disagree mate, Johnson is no better than Micah defensively (probably worse I'd say) and on current form, no way better as an attacking full-back. The truth is that Micah isn't in the England squad because of Micah, not his game. Sounds strange but I believe that it's just a clash between him and Capello and there's only one who's going to win that battle. For Micah, a known RB, to get called up and have Smalling get the nod in front of you but then miss out on the next fixtures completely over other Rag/Dipper players, must be a right slap in the face.

It could also be an FA thing where they need the likes of Johnson in there to keep the Dipper faith, and to sell the shirts of course.

Capello wants attacking fullbacks, he has shown it with his experiments leading upto the world cup and with his hardon for Jones (and continued fascination with Johnson). If he had his way England would be playing a formation similar to City. Micah marauds because he has license to do so - just as our leftback (Clichy or Kolarov) does. Whoever is forward the other stays back to provide an extra body then our defensive shield (Nige/Yaya/Barry) soaks up any pressure while we're in transition from attack to defence. It's no accident we have so many players capable and comfortable enough to play in defence/midfield or midfield/attack

I follow Annie Eaves on Twitter (Scum fan and Mirror reporter, but can be funny / insightful).

She was shocked at Richards being left out, and had two tweets about it, the first saying you can tell how bad the decision is when United fans are saying a City player should be picked. The second was saying that it shows how outrageous the decision was when Liverpool fans were saying Richards should be picked over their own player.

I think Richards performance was well above his normal high standard, and is a mixture of a big "fuck you!" to Capello and after a few minutes he had shown Gutierrez who would win the battle all afternoon, didn't have too much to do defensively and was able to get forward and support the attack which is did superbly.

The only downside to Richards' game at the moment is I'm a huge Zabelatta fan and Richards is quite rightly keeping him out of the team!

MotM was between him and Milner.
And for those saying he didn't have any defending to do, and his MotM choice wasn't based on his position, he posed more of an attacking threat than Nasri.

Ooooooooh Micah Richards,
He's a full back, a proper blue,
He looks like balotelli but doesn't wear a hat,
He doesn't play for England cos Cappello is a twat!
Ooooooooh Micah Richards!

Top stuff!!

Fook it, less chance of him getting injured or getting tired out. Id be happy if all our players took an early retirment from International football. Who would want to play alongside tossers like Rhino gob,Shrek and that home wrecking twat Terry anyways..

He was excellent yesterday and though I can see why he was awarded MOTM (a goal and an assist) I thought that Milner just edged it
