Ha ha ha, class. Could be Bert and Ernie as well.

With regard to the thread, it seems some have a problem with people voicing their opinions about personnel in the media on this site. Well, that's what this site is for and if people want to say 'Shearer's Shit', 'Hansen needs Hanging', 'Lawrenson needs Lynching' or 'Lineker needs his fucking Big Ears Lobbing Off' then I for one would like them to mention it. If this is an opinion, of which I have my own, why is it up to a few to then say 'Actually, you are wrong. I am the only voice of reason and nobody should deviate from what I say!'?

Some seem to be saying that because of the likes of Lawrenson's and Hansen's comments on Saturday that they somehow have never said anything unbiased about our club, that they've been on the fence giving both teams the same coverage and recognition. Do you honestly believe this to be true or is it just a matter of them not wanting to look fools knowing we are storming the league at present?

One post mentioned that due to the fact the the Rags et al had been winning things for years then they are bound to get the more bias critique from the presenters. Well that statement there is stating that they are more bias to one club than another, airing views in favour of the so called 'Bigger' club in favour over the likes of Wigan, as was so adequately seen by the laughing faces when a goal should've clearly been scratched off. Oh well, it's only Wigan isn't it!

The truth is, and most of us know, that MotD, like many other programmes, has been mainly focused on the 'Big 4' for a long time now. It's all about viewer numbers and the likes of United, Arsenal and Liverpool are always going to have the biggest pull for them so they gear their critique accordingly. That critique is then skewed again because their own loyalties come into play which then manifests itself on the programme as misinformed shit. Watching MotD 2 last night saw Lee Dixon and esquire talking about the City game and although it came across fairly well it was clear to see that he felt uncomfortable talking about us. The Davies seemed to be trying to praise us through gritted teeth, and it just ended up a blur. To be honest, does anyone actually believe that Lee Dixon is there to put our opinion across, or is he there as an ex-Arsenal player?

And yes, there are other programmes we can watch and I do watch them all. Goals on Sunday, the Sunday Supplement and Football First, which is probably the best highlight show that there is. but I still want to watch MotD because it's an institution that I was brought up on. The problem for me is that they've tried to re-invigorate it with an all new studio, new opening credits and some nice pieces from around the grounds but they've still got the same god-awful, out-of-date, dreary and oh-so bias pundits weaving thier web of deceit to a nation who's only outlet to football may be this show.

Is this really the best they can do, because if it is, it's definately not worth the £145 fee that 20 million households pay every year.

And for the moaners who are moaning about the moaners, go fuck yourself!

So out of Linekar, Hansen and Lawrenson which one is a United fan? United fans also think MOTD hates them, strange.

Their opinions have no value on account of them being united fans and therefore a lower form of life.

Proof, what proof? This whole site is about opinion, if it was about facts then it'd be mighty dull. Tell you what though, why don't you go back and have a look at all the MotD programmes and then post the relevant clips where they are blowing smoke up our arses as I think you're opinion is either flawed or tainted. Your insistance that they aren't biased is not proven until you show me fact.

For all those who think there is no anti-City agenda in the media (i.e. rag_hater and BRF) read this and then tell the rest of us that we are paranoid

From the metro

http://www.metro.co.uk/sport/oddballs/8 ... sed-snoods

Manchester City have decided to combat the effects of the chilling winter conditions by handing their multi-million pound stars personalised snoods.

In a move that screams ‘more money than sense’, City chiefs have had white neck warmers specially manufactured for their pampered squad, complete with player’s initials, number and own country’s flag sewn on the front.

Perhaps they could justify the outlay if their stars could wear the much-maligned knitwear during matches, but unfortunately (depending on which way you look at it) Fifa had the winter accessory banned from competitive play back in February.

Luckily, the Abu-Dhabi owned league leaders don’t have to bat an eyelid at hard earned dirhams being flushed down the drain, as good old Sheikh Mansour has plenty more where that came from.
On Friday, City posted the largest fiscal loss ever in the history of English football, with a minus figure of £197.5 million over the last 12 months.
How do they react? New snoods for all on Monday morning, of course!

How dare City spend money on our minimum wage footballers by giving it to multi-millionaire snood makers. Oh, hang on, I think I got that wrong. Try again - how dare City try to keep their multi-million pound assets warm in winter with personalised snoods which stop them transferring any infections.

Ruining football again.

I've read similar stuff in most of the media over the last few years, including the so called 'quality' papers. From the moment Frank got involved & we dared to be less than completely shit.

It started with the Frank political witchunt. all ikinds of fabricated crap through the 'getting above ourselves' accusing us of making claims which we never had (still at it now) then it became 'do Manchesrer City really think xy or z would ever sign for them ?' Accusing us of trying to sign players we never even tried to sign then taking the piss when they didn't sign, ' they only signed for the money' wanted to sign for Utd/ Liverpool but weren't good enough, with fabricated quotes from players sucking off Utd which they'd never said, from interviews which had never been done, 'You can't buy the league' with examples of all the money we spent, but skipping over the money Utd spent, 'Everyone is at each other's throats' isolated incidents blown up out of proprtion, with players who got on fine 'The players are protesting at the double training sessions' months & months after those sessions had stopped, on and on and on til finally we have reached 'they are buying the title' and of course 'it's not fair'.

Oh I understand completely freshie. I'm just amazed that people here still get outraged by it.

The only way to beat them is to win trophies and become the established elite or build a team from players born no farther than 1klm from the ground who live the quiet life.

Just be aware of it, expect it and hope that the club are trying to shift perceptions.

Because if there are any lies in the article that would put us in a position to sue.You say it is bias to tell a story but if you are not a fan of our club and wanted to write an amusing article what would you have said. You need to stop being so sensitive in the matters of our club adopt a sense of humour and get thicker skin.
I love it when they say and report us being flash.Having more money than sense.
