The first silverware of the season!

It would be awesome if we got to play a friendly against them at some point:

http://allafrica.com/stories/201111211830.html

"Man City of Perseverance Street were Saturday crowned the 2011 Sky High Group-sponsored Banjul league champions after beating Late Ebou Jammeh of Lancaster 2-0 at a well attended match at the KG 5 Mini Stadium.

Early on in the game both teams went in search of the opener. Late Ebou Jammeh's Ebou Sarr made an impressive run into the Man City box that saw him release a shot that was also met by an impressive save from the Man City keeper.

In the 24th minute, Man City took the lead when Sheriffo Wally's back heel off a corner kick found the back of the net.

Sherifffo Wally later on had another chance to double his side's lead. Sloppy defending from the Late Ebou Jammeh defence provided him with an incredible opportunity that he should have passed on to a teammate but he went for glory instead and was robbed of the ball.

During the second half Man City didn't sit back protecting their lead, but instead came all out looking for another goal to kill the game in their favour.

An injury time goal by Alfusianey Gassama ensured that they would be named champions.

As winners Man City were given a trophy and a cash prize of D 35 000 while Late Ebou Jammeh went home with D 20 000 as consolation."

They could at least play a token game at half time during one of the pre season tours of wherever & then donate the takings from the main game. They could fly those lads out & I bet it's all tax or FFPR deductable so it wouldn't even cost anything in the scheme of things.

It would be worth it just to put a face to the name of Sheriffo Wally.

There's only one Alfusianey Gassama.
Your right leg I like; I've got nothing against your right leg. The trouble is neither have you.
